The case was especially complicated and hard as the victims kept adding up and now the unsub didn't even bother hiding them anymore, since they already found the other ones, so why bother now, right?

It was evening of day four since the team arrived, Reid not being even allowed in the hotel for his own safety.

"Did they at least give you a comfy blanket? I have plenty here" Penelope Garcia spoke from the phone.

"Yeah, I have blankets and pillows, I'm fine Garci" Reid spoke softly, taking another sip of his coffee, refusing to tell the blonde woman on the other side he hasn't slept in weeks.

"Okay, okay. So, I have here for you some informations about the new victim, Jessica Martines, worked at mall near the street they found the previous victim, Connor James, we disscused him yesterday. She didn't live with husband, they were in the act of divorce, now she's dead" Penelope said, trailing off, trying to sort out her thoughts.

"Okay, thanks Garci, sorry for keeping you awake so long" Reid smiled to himself.

"Oh, it's no problem, my boy wonder, if no one else will, I'll gladly do it" Garcia smiled from behind her computer.

"It's late, you should go home" Reid said, letting the smile slip into his tone, and Garcia heard.

"Okay, okay. But you go to sleep, okay?" she said, also not hiding her own smile.

"Of course" Reid said, hanging up, she had no reason not to believe him, so Penelope went home in peace, plopping into her bed, falling asleep nearly immidietly as her head hit the pillow.

However, Spencer Reid was far from getting sleep.

..

Morning came, and so did the rest of the BAU, and they started where they left out the previous day. And work was overwhelming them as they tried to find the possible reason for the unsub to be killing these people specifically.

"Pheraps someone who hurt them in the past?" Emily suggested.

"No, it looks less personal" Morgan shook his head.

"The unsub is literally killing one specific type of people, how is that not personal?" Prentiss raised her voice.

"Because of the MO" Derek raised his voice as well.

"Okay, alright, enough you two" JJ said, raising her voice as well.

"Can you all stop yelling, please" Spencer said loud enough for them to hear, but not too loud.

"Yeah, sorry" the three of them said at the same time and went back to work.

"So, probably a male, mid-twenties to forties, strong enought to be able to carry the victims" Rossi stated.

"The obvious, now the motive, it's clear that the victims are supposed to be a replacement, and the fact the unsub doesn't have a gender preference is making it harder to identify who the possible stressor might be" Reid mummbled.

Morgan opened his mouth to start speaking as the door opened, sheriff calling the team over.

"Someone just called, saying they saw a man, about thirty years with a tall brunette, walking into an empty garage building, and apparently the woman wasn't moving" the sheriff explained.

"We will need a lot of your men to catch him, this unsub is smart and fearless, it's not likely he would make a mistake, may be a trap of some kind" Hotch warned.

"Reid, stay" Hotch told the doctor as the team and officers were leaving the station, ready to attack.

"What? Am I a dog?" Spencer asked offended.

Hotch just smirked playfully, turning to leave, Reid sighted, going back to their workspace to work on the profile better, possibly figuring out the reason the unsub would get caught like this, it's not like what the team had profilled so far at all, something was off and Reid knew it, he just didn't know what.
