Chapter 1

"ALEX!! Get up before I drag you out of your bed!"
"ughhh fine mom!" I yell back at my mom. Yayyy first day of school...I regret waking up this morning already. If i'm going to suffer i guess i should look good. I brush my teeth and hair, get myself ready all that jazz.
"your lunchbox is on the counter make sure you give lexi her lunch please. I'll be working late tonight so make sure she can give you a ride." my mom said as i walked downstairs.
"okay. thanks mom!" i smile at her.
"gotta go bye love you! muah muah!" she kissed my cheeks bye.
i giggle at her. she does this every time. "bye mom"
As i walk to school a couple streets away i put my airpods in and listen to sza getting in the vibes.
                                      *at school*
"ALEXXXXXXXX!!!" i heard screeching from across the hall and see a tall girl with long, wavy, light brown hair and huge green eyes charging at me. ah..my bestie finally!! :)
"HEYY BITCHHH" i yelled back and bear hugged her. "how was basketball camp?" Lexi has been gone all summer at this super crazy basketball camp for really good basketball players who want to be in the wnba as their career. Lexi is the best basketball player i've ever seen, I mean she's really good.
"eh some old same old. how was lake george? Any cute boysss" she asked excitedly.
"no ahah my grandma didn't let me leave her sight after crashing the boat last year." i told her while putting my books in my locker.
"i still can't believe you did that." she also put her books in her locker a couple down from me.
"yeah me neither..junior year was..something else ahah. anyways i gotta get to class. Bye lexi!" and with that the bell rang and i gave her the lunch my mom made for her.
"bye bestie" she grinned at me. "TELL KELLY I SAID THANKS FOR THE LUNCH!!" lexi yelled down the hall.
*in class*
Ugh. This class can't get any more boring with the same thing i've been hearing since pre-k. follow the rules blah blah blah.
"Miss D'Angelo, would you please pay attention? This is important to know for your safety." Mrs. Lopez eyed me down.
"Well Mrs. Lopez, since I have been here for now four years and heard this in middle school every single day of my life, im pretty sure everyone else is thinking about going to lunch, going home and not doing the pointless homework you give us for no reason. So if you paid attention to what I just said you'd know that absolutely no one wants to be here." I snarkly answered and eyed her back.
"I want to be here." some loser said from the front of the room and gave me a side eye which i gladly gave back.
"oh shut up, you suck the teachers ass to get good grades." I turn around and see the shy kid with light fluffy dirty blonde hair in a hoodie. He smiled at me shyly, ofc i had to smile back it was the most adorable thing ever.
*end of school day*
"ugh bitch i need sleep" i laid across lexi's lap and she started playing with my hair.
"me too. Mrs. Lopez was such a suka today. So bitchy on the first day of school." (bitch) she rolled her eyes.
"you're welcome" i goofly smiled at her.
"omg ofc you contributed to it." lexi smiled back.
"anyways, can you drive me home please?"
"can't I have practice today and i can't skip. Sorry babes." she pouted at me.
"it's okay i'll walk home." i smiled and got up off her lap.
"i have to get to practice now. Bye boo!!" she blew a kiss at me and went off. It started to thunder and I regretted not finding anyone to give me a ride. I look over and see the shy boy from my class walking out of the gym. He looks at me and smiles. I smile back and walk up to him.
"hey!" i smiled.
"uh hi..alex right?" he looked at me.
"yeah ahah sorry I don't know your name I haven't seen you here before. Are you new?"
"Uh yeah I am. I'm Jace." he put his hand out for me to shake it. I hug him instead. He was taken back by my sudden movement.
"umm uhh...haha..sorry I'm a hugger." I scratched the back of my head.
"It's okay. you give pretty good hugs. Anyways, what you doing here, I though you wanted to go home and not do Mrs. Lopez's homework." he laughed at the fact i'm still here.
"oh well my friend was going to drive me home but she has basketball practice so I'm going to walk home." I told him while getting my backpack.
"oh well i'm leaving soon so i could drive you home...if you want." he looked at me shyly, as a blush crept up his cheeks he looked down at the floor.
"REALLY!! thank god! you're a life saver! thank you so much. I really didn't want to walk in the rain." I hugged him while screeching in his ear for his kindness. Surprisingly, he hugged me back and that was the most warm and safe hug i have ever had. this dude was a 6'3" big teddy bear and I love it!!
"yeah sure no problem. Are you ready to leave now?" Jace asked me.  I pulled out of the hug and looked at him. ZAMNN now that i'm looking at him his eyes are so gorgeous, maybe even prettier than lexi's and she has really pretty eyes. His eye color was dark blue with some greens and brown in it. ANND he has a literally six pack and he's glistening with sweat..wait a damn second. Was he leaving the boys basketball practice?! OMGG this guy is my literal dream guy. "hello..?" he waved his huge ass hand in front of my eyes to wake me up from my trance he had me in. "oh uh yeah I'm ready" I smiled at him brightly which he cutely did back. "here i'll take your backpack for you." he took my heavy backpack off my shoulders and put it on his bare one. "You can stop staring whenever alex." he smirked at me. I laughed at him and rolled my eyes. "M'lady" bowed down and opened the passenger door for me. "why thank you kind sir" i curtsied and laughed with him as i got in the car.
