Mishbir Tale: The untold story

You never fail to understand me...

As nanu stands in the balcony he looks down at the seven year old Meenu playing with her friends. She looks thin and small but too mature for her age.

"Congrats Yashpalji it's a boy!", says the nurse. He immediately rushes to see his son. Meenu downstairs also hears this and rushes into the Rajvansh house to meet her new little brother. As she enters the room, she sees her father lifting her baby brother.

Nanu says with a proud smile, " finally! I got my successor who will take my business forward... Take it to new heights".

"Bapuji why not me? Am I not good enough to look after your business", Meenu asks. 

"No you are a girl. And girls excel boys only in one thing... That is... Looking after the house", he replies with a smile.

"What!? Nanu aap ne yeh kaha wo bhi maa se?", Abir shouts getting up surprised as well as disappointed.

 "Sshhhhh!!", Mishti who was lying beside him says fearing to wake the tiny Rajvansh sleeping between them. 

"Tum to sone wale the na ab sab ko jaga kyun rahe ho? ", she asks irritatedly. She then looks at Nanu and asks in a low tone, "Vaise Nanu you are proud of Maa aren't you?"

"Aree both of you first listen to the story fully then react.", says Nanu defending himself. Abir exclaims, "Nanu, aap hum logon ko sulane aaye hain ya meri neend kharab karne??"

Earlier that day... 

Abir has a hectic day and comes home all tired but extremely excited to meet his son Amish Rajvansh... It was his first day at work since Amish was born. He couldn't wait to hold that little life in his hands. As he enters Rajvansh house, he sees Meenakshi sitting in the hall and playing with her grandson. As he stands there adoring the two of them, Mishti goes to Meenu and says, "Maa its time Amish goes to sleep. So... Can you give him to me please. I'll put him to sleep".

"Umm.. Can I play with him for a little more time Mishti please. Then I'll come and give him to you", says Meenu with a soft smile.

"par maa agar wo soyega nahi to rone lag jayega...", Mishti says with a hint of disappointment. "Please Mishti bas thodi der aur..", pleads Meenu.

Mishti, surprised to see the soft side of her dragon saas, melts away and says with a smile, "Ok Maa! As you wish".She is just about to leave when Amish starts crying. She instantly picks him up from Meenu and tries to console him.

Witnessing all this Abir's smile fades away. He walks in with anger and says, "Rula diya na bachche ko! Maa Mishti uski maa hai! Wo janti hai junior ko kab kis cheez ki zaroorat hai. Aap uski baat sunthi kyun nahi."

"Abir mai to bas..", says Meenu.

"Nahi maa aap har jagah apni marzi nahi chala sakthi. Yeh bachcha Mishti ka hai. Uske liye kya sahi hai aur kya nahi yeh Mishti decide-"

"Stop it Abir!!", yells Mishti. By then all the family members had come down due to the noise.

"Thum bhool rahe ho ki yeh sirf mera beta nahi, maa ka pota bhi hai. Unhe bhi uspar poora haq hai. Tum itna overreact kyun kar rahe ho?", asks Mishti.

"Yes bro aap overreact kar rahe hain", says Kuhu who had witnessed everything too.

"Bhai I agree ki maa ne past mein kuch galatiyan ki hain but come on bhai forgive her na. Wo badal chuki hain. Wo bas Amish ke saath time spend karna chahthi thi that's it. Itna bada scene create karne ki kya zaroorat hai.", says Nanko.

"fine!! sabko lagta hai na ki main galat hoon. To main hi chala jaata hoon yahan se. Jab firse Wo is bachche ko bhi manipulate karne lagegi jaise Nanko ko kiya tha tab dekh lena sab log."Abir walks away to his room.

Mishti looks down and says," I'm sorry Maa". She gives Amish to Kuhu who nods and says, "Don't worry mai ise sula doongi", in a soft tone.

 Mishti goes after Abir. Paul Maasi too follows her.

Meenu sits in the Hall with tears. Nanu goes and sits beside Meenu. "Kya main itni buri maa hoon Bapuji. Maana ki maine bohot saare galatiyan ki hain par kya mera beta mujhe kabhi bhi maaf nahi karega Bapuji?", she asks with tears in her eyes.

"Nahi Meenu tum chintha mat karna. Woh gadheda abhi gusse mein hai par jald hi wo samajh jayega aur tujhe maaf bhi kar dega".

"lagta hai mujhe kuch karna hoga", Nanu thinks to himself.

In the room...

What was that Abir? Tum aise kaise baat kar sakte ho maa se", asks mishti her voice filled with disappointment . 

"Mishti tum nahi samjhogi. Tum kuch nahi jaanti. Maa to bas naatak kar rahi hain. Aisa wo pehle bhi kar chuki hain maasi and nanko ke saath. Mai nahi chahtha wo tujhe bhi apne bete se alag karde bas.", Abir explains with a harsh tone.

"For gods sake Abir stop suspecting Maa. Unke intentions hamesha galat nahi hote.", says Mishti.

Just as Abir is about to answer, Paul maasi comes in. She holds Abir's hand and takes him out. She shows Meenu sitting on the sofa and crying. All the family members try to console her but she walks away to her room.

Abir instantly feels a pang of guilt and his anger fades away. 

"I'm sorry maasi but I didn't mean to hurt her... Ughhh why does this always happen between me and maa", he says burying his head in his palms.

Later that night,

 Abir enters the room with Amish in his hands. Amish gives a bright smile to his dad. As Abir walks around the room Amish's eyelids become heavy and he finally falls to sleep. Mishti stands at the door leaning on it and seeing Abir's love for his child, her own anger turning into love.

Abir says in a soft tone, "I will always protect you champ" and kisses Amish softly. As he turns around to find Mishti his smile fades away, his face clearly showing signs of guilt and defiance.

"Mishti abhi nahi please"

Mishti goes to him, smiles and hugs him from the back and says, "Mujhe pata hai tum baby ko hamesha protect karoge..". Abir smiles and says, "Sirf tum hi ho Jo mujhe hamesha samajhti ho. You never fail to understand me.. ". She breaks the hug and comes in front of him. "aur hamare isi understanding ki wajah se hum iss world ke best parents banenge", she says touching Amish's head softly.

Kya hua? Tumhe bhi neend nahi aa raha?", she asks observing him. Abir nods yes.

She too wasn't feeling sleepy after all the drama that happened.

Nanu enters the room and exclaims, "It's story time! Tum teenon yaha ao". 

"Kya story kehne wale ho aap nanu? BigBen kaise BigBen bani"?, Abir asks jokingly. 

"Yes bro", Nanu replies sternly.

 "Wow nanu.. yeh story to sunna padega", Mishti says with a playful smile. 

Abir says, "No thanks mujhe nahi sunna" 

"Ok nanu aap surf mujhe aur Amish ko bataiye", says Mishti lying down on the bed with Amish beside her. 

Nanu and sits on the corner of the bed leaving space for Abir. 

Abir adamantly goes and lies down on the bed pretending to sleep. 

"45 years earlier....

So guys how did you like my story. Please do let me know in the comments. This is in continuation with the last episode of YRHPK. I tried to do justice to all the characters. Just wasn't happy with its ending or the way it ended. So many things left untold. So I thought why not complete it. Didn't write much in the description as I didn't want to spoil the fun. Sorry about mixing English and hindi :D. I like to write in English but personally believe hindi gives more feel to it. So suggestions required!!! More Mishbir coming up!!!
