#2 Young Half Demons

Chapter 18: Missing

"We did it..." I said.

I began to feel dizzy and suddenly passed out, but luckily Tom caught me before I hit the ground. Billy wanted to be useful so he held my arm up.

It felt like 10 minutes of me being out cold, but in reality, they were 4 hours. I wake up in a hospital room with Tom and Camille sitting down, covered in bandages, still missing their arms... even Billy was there fast asleep.

"Finally, you're awake." Tom said. "What time is it?" I asked. "It's about to be 12AM." Camille added.

My leg began to regenerate quick and the nurse happened to walk in. She stood frozen and before I could've explained, she immediately ran away.

"Damn it, hurry get close to me so I can heal you guys up!" I said. Tom and Camille get close and I heal their wounds and regenerated their missing arms.

"Hurry, open the window, wake up and grab Billy so we can get out of here before authorities get involved!" I said. "Billy, we're leaving, wake up!" Tom said as he picked him up.

As we struggled to open the window, a doctor and the nurse that ran away came through the door. "Wait, are you the kid that healed himself?!" The Doctor said. "Uhhh, yeah." I said awkwardly.

"And you healed them?!" The doctor said. "Yeah, why?" I asked. "Could you... stay and heal our patients?" The doctor asked. "Uhhmm, suuure." I said. "How many patients are we speaking about?" I added.

"Only the critical ones, near death." The doctor said. "Fine, I'll stay, but once I finish, we will leave." I demanded. "That's fine." The doctor said.

We went through each dying patient and I healed every single one. The last patient was different...

"Hello, I was informed you have leukemia." I said. As soon as I walked in and saw the patient, my heart shattered. It was a little girl, around Billy's age.

"Hannah?" Billy said. "Billy?" Hannah said.

Tom, Camille, and I realized what's happening.

"You know her?" Tom asked. "Yeah, she's in my school, but then she was absent for 2 weeks." Billy said.

Billy ran up to Hannah and gave her a hug, both not realizing what Hannah is going through.

"I need to step out for a bit." I said as I walked out, trying to hold back my tears. "What's wrong Max?" Camille asked. "Nothing, I just... what I just saw made my heart sink, both Billy and Hannah are just innocent kids that don't know what leukemia is." I said, struggling to keep back the tears.

"I know, it's depressing to see that, but remember, you're going to heal her." Camille said. "You're right, I'm here to help." I said as I wiped off the tears.

I walk back in the room and began the process to help Hannah. As the healing process happened, Billy was holding hands with Hannah. It almost distracted me but I remained my composure.

"Finished." I said. "Thank you so much, how can we repay?" The doctor said. "There's no need for a payment, I just want to leave with my friends." I said. "Okay, that's fine, thank you again." The doctor said.

As we walk out the room, other doctors and nurses were standing on the sides of the hallways to commemorate my help.

"Let's head back to Camille's place before Sean gets worried where we're at." Tom said. "Agreed." I said.

We fly to Camille's place, even with Billy. It took us a while to get to the house but we made it and noticed something. The doors were wide open...

Camille ran inside the door and was devastated. All the butlers and maids were out cold on the floor with blood on their heads. "What happened?!" Camille asked. We noticed Rose still awake so Camille ran to her. "5 demons bursted in, they were looking for Tom but instead they took Sean." Rose said.

"Did they say where they were headed?" I asked. "Yes, they were headed to an abandoned storage facility in the north direction from this house, about 6 hours from here." Rose said.

I looked at Tom and he looked frustrated, seeing some of his veins pop out. "Let's go get him back, I don't understand why would they take him." Tom said.

I quickly heal everyone and leave to find Sean, followed by Camille.

Sean...

"Tie him up." One demon said.

Sean was appearantly knocked out and barely woke up as soon as they tied him up. "Where am I?" Sean said. "Shut it!" Another demon said, slapping him in the face.

Sean looked up and saw 5 demons infront of him, each resembling a trait from the Zodiac Signs.

Two identical female twins were representing Gemini, one female demon had the symbol of an Aquarius on her chest and had beautiful ocean colored hair, a male demon had large horns, an Aries. and the final male demon had no clothes but had hoof legs and a bulky, muscular body, so Sean immediately knew that it was a Taurus.

"Zodiac Demons, of course." Sean said. "Smart kid." Aries said. "And where are the rest of the Zodiacs?" Sean asked. "Don't worry, they are in position once your friends come and save you." Aries said with a soothing, calm voice.

Sean's heart felt like it skipped a beat, he realized he was the bait for us.

"What do you want from us?" Sean asked. "Not much, this demon named Jackal I believe, gave us a deal." Taurus said in a low, soft voice. "It was to kill you and your friends, and in return, us Zodiac Demons can be allowed in the surface world without being hidden in the shadows."

"Why would you trust a random demon, you don't even know if he'll even give you access to the surface world." Sean said. "Because he has shown us the outcome if you and your friends stay alive, we've seen each of your lives, from the beginning and to the end." Aquarius said with a calm, soft voice.

Sean looked to his left and saw what appeared to be Libra, who was a female goat walking on her hind legs, still wearing clothes. She came to drop off some food for Sean she had bought.

"Why are you giving me food?" Sean asked. "Just because I'm a demon, doesn't mean I'm a monster like the rest of them, sure I'll kill, but only if I'm provoked to." Libra said.

Libra pulled out a chicken sandwich and piece by piece, fed Sean.

"There, all done, I'll be getting to position now." Libra said as she leaped to the ceiling, and crawled up there. As Sean kept his eyes on Libra, he noticed the rest of the Zodiacs, but instead of a menacing look, they all looked... friendly.

In the distant, Sean could hear our voices as we got closer and closer.

"Sean, where are you?!" I said from a distant.

"Just in time, the show is about to begin." Both the Gemini twins said in sync.

I find the room Sean was in and to my surprise, he was alive, but I knew something was fishy.

I stop myself and the rest before we walk in.

I back away while pushing Camille and Tom and signaled Sean to stay quiet.

"Mind Radar." I whispered. I was shocked to see many people in the room with Sean.

"Send a clone before you go in, trust me." I said inside Camille and Tom mind.

We send in clones of us and make them be in the feeling of relief to find Sean.

"Sean, what happened, who took you?" My clone asked.

Before Sean could respond, I saw all the demons appear and shred up the clones.

"Clones!?" Leo said in a grumpy voice. "Not to worry fellas, the party has just begun." Aries said as he appeared behind us, shoving us in the large room.

"Zodiac Demons." Camille said in a furious tone. "Hello... Camille." Aquarius said as she appeared from the dark.
