Chapter 17: Cold hands

Lapis POV:
I gasped in shock as I saw the horrific scene. Jasper stood in the middle of the living room with a bat in his left hand with a strong grip. He had a psychotic smile upon his face as my eyes wandered around the destroyed home. Jasper had beat the once soft couch into a pile of fabric and broken wood, the once enlightened beige walls were filled with empty holes.

The only thing that survived the rude boys act was the TV. Peridot froze in shock as she forgot how to breath. Her glasses began to fog up as her eyes turned red. She threw her duffle bag off of her shoulders and ran up to the joyful brute "What is your problem! You're breaking illegal laws! Such as Trespassing, Harassment and Vandalism!" The angry blonde counted the three with her fingers. Surely there were more to it but she was too angry to even think of such.

"What are you talking about" the brute said as he leaned over "I'm just redecorating your house for you.. Runt" he said as he was eye level with Peridot who you can tell was ready to punch the brute in the face. "if you don't leave now I'll call the police and press charges against you Jasper" Peridot grumbled as she talked serious with the brute. "I'll leave.. but I'll be back for more bitch" he straightened his back as he dragged his bat across the floor. Finally he made eye contact with me as he walked away. My eyes grew angry as he smiled to me with eager in his rough eyes. "Haha calm your tits cunt, I'm here for the other one" he gestured pointing behind him with his thumb after pushing me aside with his metal bat and walking away from the house.

When I watched him finally walked off into his car I quickly turned to Peridot. Oh I can't imagine what she is going through right now. This must make her feel in rage. I slowly walked up to her putting my hand on her shoulder softly calming her "he fucking ruined my house!" She yelled as she grabbed a chair and threw it over her head. Letting it meet with the broken couch and breaking off the chairs leg.

"Peridot please.." I plead the blonde to maintain her rage as I grabbed her hand. "I'm sorry he did this and I'll help you clean this up" I cuffed her face in my hands, but she looked down or anywhere where my face wasn't. Her ears were red and her eyebrows furrowed, gritting here teeth. She threw my hands off her face which caused me to fall over.

" THIS IS ALL BECAUSE YOU " She yelled on to the top of her lungs. She stood over me and began to tell again " I WAS JUST FINE BEFORE YOU CAME ALONG. NO ONE WANTED TO KILL ME, MY HOUSE WAS ALWAYS PERFECTLY FINE!" I began to tear up, I didn't mean to cause this much on Peridot.
"I CANT BELIEVE THIS, YOURE CRYING?" She screamed. I stood up in front of her.

Peridot POV:

"You know what Peridot.." Lapis spoke as she stood from the floor. "You are a hard person to love.." she said looking at me with her saddened eyes.

"I'm sorry to this whole catastrophe happening to you" she said calmly as she fixed her bag on her back. "I'm sorry Jasper hates you or that I love you" she crossed her arms and looked away. Her once blue enlighten eyes were drooped in sorrow. She inhaled a big breath and looked back towards me. "We aren't meant to be I guess.. if I'm causing too much pain to your life" my heart stopped. Those words made me forget how to breath as my eyes widened. "I'll leave you alone.. and tell Jasper to leave you alone too" she sighed as she walked passed me. "W- Wait Lazuli!" I yelped to her "I'm sorry that's not what I meant!" I said with worrisome in my throat.

"Sure.." Lapis said as she closed the front door and left. I dropped on my knees with tears down my face. "No.. not her"
