Willow's POV
"I just don't understand. I spent the whole night with Alex, which means I should probably end things with Denis, right? Because even if I don't know where I'm at, it's not fair to Denis that I basically cheated on him," I sigh, burying my head into my hands. "And I promise, I tried, but I didn't have the courage to right after he just lost his spot in the US Open. Plus, how shitty would it be that he literally lost to Alex, the same guy I just spent the night with."
Domi nods, taking a long sip of water. "As much as I don't like it," he says. "I support your decision."
"What do you mean?" I ask. Domi was so against cheating. It's happened to him before and it absolutely killed him. I get where he's coming from every time he gets defensive when he hears it come up from someone.
"As much as I hate that you spent time with Alex behind his back, dumping him because of Alex would be too much for him. The timing is already shit. Don't add to it," Dom answers. "So are you going to wait until after Lavar Cup? Or break up with him during this break?"
"That's the thing!" I exclaim. "I don't know if I wanna break up with him now because we literally just hooked up!"
"You and Denis?" Domi questions. "Like... sex?"
"No, no," I shake my head. "Not sex. But when we were saying 'bye' to each other, things got sort of heated. And then, that's when we were interrupted my Alex. But I was so sure I wanted to end things with Denis, but after that, now I'm not sure where my feelings are at... again."
"End things or not, he needs to know about your night excursion with Sascha," Dom says.
I agree with him.
"But after Lavar Cup if you want to hold on to things. If not, then over this two-week break," Dom adds.
I agree with him again.
We sit in silence and I get up and find a comfortable position under his covers. "Are you ready for tomorrow?" I ask.
Dom shrugs, walking over and getting under the covers with me. "There's not much I can do now, is there."
I laugh, "You could chug a gallon of protein powder?"
Dom let's out a chuckle and says, "Goodnight, Willow."
"Night, Domi."
-
"Why do we have to be here so early?" I groan as I drag my feet out of the car, hauling Dom's heavy tennis bag to throw over my shoulder.
"You don't need to carry that," Dom laughs, trying to help me out while waving 'bye' to his driver.
"No, no," I karate chop his hands away from me. "I can't have you potentially throw out your shoulder before your match."
"Who are you even rooting for?" Dom laughs as we walk into the empty backstage area.
"Both of you!" I say.
"But mostly me?" Domi nudges my arm.
"Of course, mostly you," I smile to him. And I meant it, too.
We part ways when he ducks into the locker room, and I head to the interview room.
"Morning," I wave to Mischa as I walk in.
