chapter 4

Witch finder part the second

   Merlins pov:

 I was with my uncle helping him with his work when the witch finder walks up and starts talking with him and says he (my uncle) always did have a thirst for knowledge. My uncle retorts that it was alway scientific knowledge that he thirst for and goes to walk away. The witch finder calls my name saying he wants to see me in an hour in his chambers for questioning. So here i sit in his chambers afraid. I just hope my Morgana is alright and will be out of the witch finders line of sight. 

 He began by saying or rather asking if I knew the lady called me as a witness. I say no, that yes I was there but I saw nothing, hoping that he'd leave if he found nothing. I was hoping he'd pry more when he said that for all we know I'm the sorcerer, but to my surprise he does not. He lets me leave saying that that would be all for now. 

   Morgana’s pov:

 I was called into the throne room because the witchfinder found the sorcerer. If i wasn't afraid before i am now, i hope he doesn’t call Merlin or my name. He starts by calling the three women in the back up and has them stand in a line and tells them to go ahead and speak. They began one by one telling these crazy tales of magic they saw. 

 He then says he knows how the sorcerer is, he calls Merlin's name and my heart drops. I may lose him if he is found guilty, but he'd never do what the women say he did. I wanted to shout to say it wasn't him but Arthur  speaks saying that it's not him and he can't be serious. I wanted to hug him. The king then speaks, saying  what do you have to say of these claims to Merlin.  Merlin responds that he has nothing to hide from the witchfinder. 

 He then has Merlin restrained and i wanted to scream at the knights to not touch or hurt my Merlin.  I run out tears in my eyes. I don't want him hurt. 

 I am in my room when Gwen storms in saying, “ Merlin is innocent, how can this be? The witchfinder has the wrong man.” 

 “ I agree, I just hope he's proven innocent. That he doesn't die. I just got him. I don't want to lose him, ''I say as Gwen grabs my hand to comfort me. 

 She walks me to my bed and holds me as I cry. 

 “ What do you mean you just got him? Are you two together? And he’ll survive this I know it.” she says to me. 

I heard they searched Merlin and Gaius chambers and found an amulet and Gaius admitted it was his. My merlin was released, i am so happy I should be sad gaius is going to die but im not. Merlin wants to save him but i really don’t think he should. The witch finder is not one to cross and besides gaius wrote me off as crazy. 

     Merlins pov:

 I'm off to save the man who is like a father to me even though my Gana says i should let him burn. This is not how we should win our freedom but shes right he did try and force me to abandon the woman i love and abandoned her. But he is innocent. They are about to start the pyre so i have to be quick. 

 Gwen and i go to the flower shop here in the city because of the flower i found in the cabinet in the witch finders rooms. We speak to him and he admits the witch finder gave the to him to sell as eye drops. We go to stop the pyre but it was too late Guais was dead but we still have to prove the witch finder framed him. 

I cant believe he is gone, just gone but i cant grieve yet i have work to do. I go to Arthur to help. 

 “ Arthur i can prove the witch finder framed my uncle, i need you to talk to the florist. Please Arthur i need you to help me.” i ask no i pleaded. 

 “ fine but if your wrong your in the stocks for a month.” he says. 

We go to the shop to talk to the keep and he tells him the same thing he told us even the threat part. The prince promises protection if he told the king and the rest went down hill. Apon search of chambers when his back was against a wall he grabbed my love and threatened to kill her. I almost exposed my magic had the spells i placed not took affect. He falls out the window and dies. 

 The king comes to aplogize to me about uncle but i never payed attention to him i was just glad everything would be half normal, and my Morgana was safe. We have to kill the king. Hopfully morgana will be with me which reminds me we have a leason tonight on control.
