Normally a book starts out with some sort of prophetic saying or passage about life or the state of the world or it lays the groundwork for what you, the reader, are about to experience.
We would like to take this time, during the introduction, to welcome you back to the world of Veronicia, to the lands of Forme and Melde and Creyshun. We want to welcome you back to a world of blue skies, sword fights, Knights and Dragons, mysticism and wonder, love and despair, and of course, let's not forget the ale!
My name is Justin Mason and when I first started my writing journey nearly ten years ago, my vision for Veronicia was a beautiful, bountiful wilderness where mighty Knights saved the day, the damsel and the coffers from evil incarnate. Many years later, though the presentation has changed and the events certainly have as well, let me assure you, my overall vision has not.
When I was young, my uncle, Mervin Mason used to play all sorts of fantasy games with us. Whether it was Dungeons and Dragons, Magic the Gathering or even a brand new Sega Genesis that he had purchased for us. I credit Mervin for fostering much of my creative energy as I grew up and for always encouraging me to 'do what I liked' and to make certain that I had 'expressed myself properly'. Merv had a profound impact on my love of fantasy worlds and my want to build and create them myself.
Thank you, Merv.
Without further ado, ladies and gentlemen, beasts and snakes, dragons and phantoms, ghouls and ghosts, it is my absolute pleasure to welcome you back, once more, to the lands of Veronicia.
This is, The Knights of Haile: The Trinity of Heroes.
