Tyler sprinted to his pack as fast as possible. Dr. Heath was already aware of the situation and had the hospital room ready. Tyler put Caitlyn down on the table prepared for her. The nurse came in with a crash cart and an incubator for the baby.

"I'm sorry Tyler, but you can't be in here."

Dr. Heath said as Tyler walked out and straight into Summer.

"What happened, is she okay?"

Just then their parents came running with Essence and Cameron in their arms.

"I think she might go into premature labor. All the stress we placed on her most affected her somehow."

Tyler said as Summer walked up to him.

"It's not your fault. It wasn't your fault."

Cassandra said as Tyler sighed. 'Then why does it feel like it was?' Then he just broke down crying. Essence walked up to him.

"It's okay Daddy. I know you did the best you could. It's all going to be okay."

Essence said as Tyler took her into his arms. He heard a soft threatening growl.

"Chill dude. I'm her father"

Tyler said as everyone in the room cracked a small laugh, and Cameron blushed deep to his roots. After half an hour the doctor came out and disposed of a bloody glove in the bin nearby.

"Doctor, how is she?"

Cassandra asked as the doctor shook his head.

"I'm sorry, Caitlyn didn't make it."

Dr. Heath said that Cassandra cried and fell to the floor. Beta Ryans was also right beside her comforting her. Summer threw her arms around Tyler.

"She's gone Tyler. My one and only sister are gone. "

Summer cried into his neck still on rubbed her hair.

"But miraculously her child survived. I believe the child if he lives, won't have a wolf. He will be completely human. Also, he's underweight and cannot breathe properly on his own as yet. He's hooked up to machines to help regulate his breathing. Also, he has an underdeveloped lung and heart as he was very premature. He's only spent two months in the womb when he should have spent five or so. It's going to be an uphill battle for him to survive."

Dr. Heath said. Summer, Dylan, Essence and her mother walked into the room where her sister's lifeless body lay. Her black hair found out rolled her and her skin was peeled and white.

"I'm so sorry Caitlyn. I regret how hard we were on you, and now we know, you had no choice. I'm so sorry for what I said. I'm such a horrible sister and I don't deserve you. But I promised that I will take care of your little boy like he was my own. I don't care who your mate was or who his father is. I already love him with all my heart and I will raise him with Essence and Cameron. I love you little sister always have, always will."

Summer said as she walked out of the room.

"Are you okay?"

Tyler asked as she shouted at him.

"What do you think? My sister just died and my nephew's in the other room fighting for his life. I'm not okay. I need so much and I need you right now."

Summer said as Tyler put his arms around her.

"We will adopt him legally if he lives."

Tyler said as Summer turned around and boxed him in the face.

"What was that for?"

Tyler asked Summer as she cocked her eyes at him.

"When he's better."

Tyler amended as Summer walked over to Essence and Cameron.

"Essence, do you want to meet your brother?"

Summer asked as Essence looked at her quizzically.

"Brother? I thought he was my cousin and Auntie Caitlin's son."

Essence said smartly as Summer felt her eyes water.

"He is. But since Auntie Caitlin died, your father and I were thinking that we should adopt him, and make him your brother, since both his parents are dead."

Summer said as Essence jumped up and down excitedly.

"So I'm going to have a brother."

Essence said as Tyler nodded.

"This is the best summer I have ever had. I get grandparents, a dad, an aunt even though she's dead, a cousin who's going to be more like a brother, and a mate. What's more, could a girl ask for?"

Essence said as Summer smiled. Summer walked into the room which held her new son.

"Hey baby, I'm going to be your new mommy. And I'm going to love you unconditionally."

Essence walked in with a nurse soon after. The nurse handed her his bottle and Summer was in a rocking chair with Essence on her lap feeding her new son. Soon after her parents walked in.

"Is this him?"

Cassandra asked as Summer nodded.

"Yes, this is your new grandson."

Summer said as Cassandra touched his hair.

"What are you going to name him, Mommy?"

Essence asked as Summer thought for a moment.

"Why don't you name him? After all, he's going to be your brother."

Summer said as Essence thought for a moment.

"How about Ty, after Daddy?"

Essence said as Summer shook her head.

"No, no we don't want him to give as much trouble as dad did, now do we?"

Summer said as an Essense laughed.

"How about Theodore, Theo for short."

Essence said Summer smiled.

"That's perfect. Theodore Ryan Evans."
