When we got Morgan all settled in Michonne and I were walking into my house, then she stopped as we entered the kitchen, "Jamie, you know, you and I never really talk about the old days, and Carl has mentioned some Shane guy to me once, something about him being more then what he should've to you."
"What?"
"Who was Shane?"
"Why?"
"Carl said something about him and I guess I don't know him."
"Shane was my dad's best friend when I turned 16 we started screwing around and then he became my boyfriend. We dated from then clear on until after this all started. When it started dad was in a coma, he'd been shot and I was in a whole other county, almost 4 hours away. Shane got my mom and Carl out of King County and kept them safe and was screwing my mom. When dad saved me and Lisa, Dylan's actual mom, we went back to their camp. Shane got real weird when I got there. We talked, he'd told me about him and my mom, we broke up, a little while later I got with Daryl. Then we found out mom was pregnant with Judith, we all know she's Shane's. He tried to kill my dad so he could keep us. He told me he'd do anything to get me back, I knew he meant he'd kill Daryl. He was a terrible man. I'm a terrible daughter for sleeping with my dad's best friend, I know that now," I sighed.
"Shane got what he deserved," I heard. I turned around to see Daryl standing in the doorway.
"Shane deserved to be killed differently," I said.
"He did, but Rick did the right thing," he said.
"I know."
"You're not a terrible daughter either. You really stepped up when your dad wasn't available. You're a great daughter and one day, a great leader," Michonne smiled.
"Guys, I'm not feeling the best. I think I'm gonna lay down," I said standing up. As I stood I got really dizzy then it all went black.
When I woke up I was at the infirmary. Dad and Daryl were in the room, "what happened?" I asked.
"Thank god! We'll talk later. Get some sleep," dad said and kissed my cheek.
"No, what the fuck happened?" I asked again.
"Calm down or you'll tear your stitches," dad said.
"Stitches?" I asked.
"Jamie, when did you get hurt?" Daryl asked.
"I didn't."
"You did. The reason you passed out was blood loss. They found a cut on your torso. They put 4 in your side and 3 in your head you smacked the counter before Michonne or I could catch you," Daryl said.
"But I hadn't cut my side...shit...I caught my shirt on a piece of tin earlier, but I didn't think it broke skin. How did I not feel or see the blood? Nobody saw the blood?"
"Your shirt was black, you probably thought it was just sweat. You're going to be okay. Doc says your bedridden till the stitches come out since she knows how you are," dad said.
"Great," I rolled my eyes.
After a few weeks the stitches were gone and I was up and working again. My face didn't scar but my stomach did. We thought we was all in the clear...until we saw the message sprayed on the walls: 'WOLVES NOT FAR!'
