Princess of the Shadows... [Ouran Fan-fic]

I walked around my room. You see, I haven't been here since one year ago when my father was murdered. I ran my hand along the soft pillow of my bed before collapsing into the bed. Curling into a ball with my fox tail curling around me and my fox ears flattening on my head(yes tail and ears! I'm a neko. Deal with it!), tears freely falling down my cheeks. I wonder what my life would have been like if my dad wasn't killed. Since its a Friday i would probably be at a ball or some fancy party hiding in a corner. I was just about asleep until a voice called me back to consciousness.

"Princess Meruru, The limo is waiting to take you to the airport." I slowly reopen my eyes to see Katy, my maid and caretaker, standing in front of me looking somewhat annoyed with me. Oh yeah, i was supposed to be packing to leave for japan.

Ugh! I slowly sit up, "must I go? why cant I just stay here?"

Katy frowned, "we need to know you'll be safe from them. Please co-operate. I've already packed for you since i knew you obviously wouldn't."

I smiled slightly, "thanks.... I think." She rolls her eyes at me "please change into actual clothes." At the mention of clothes i look at my current outfit, my dark blue sleep pants and a light purple T that says 'bite me.... I DARE YOU' with an evil smirk on it.

Rising to my feet i grumble, "fine" and turn to the outfit Katy laid out for me. I hear a door open and shut. Glancing to see if Katy left, which she did, i pull off my sleepwear. I mentally curse at the dress she chose. She knows I HATE dresses. But at least it wasn't pink. I lazily pulled on the dress and looked myself over in the mirror. The dress was a one strap, Dark bloody looking red with black lace designs and it stopped just above my knees. I mentally shuddered. Did i mention that I hate dresses? I sigh then plop onto my bed sliding on my black, calf high, boots and tightening the buckles. I quickly run a brush through my Blondy-red hair getting rid of the tangles, wondering who I will be staying with in Japan. Hopefully not some snob.

I stand up from my bed and take one last look around, placing a hand on my necklace to make sure it was still there. Whats so special about it? It was a gift from my father a few days before he was killed. It's a treble clef pendant on a silver chain, my father said it was charmed or something but I didn't really believe him. I've always worn it and never taken it off, hating the emptiness I feel on my neck when its gone. After brushing my teeth and applying dark black (yes its a color!) eyeliner, mascara, light red eyeshadow, and lip gloss. I step back and look at myself in my mirror again. I look nothing like how my people know me as. Smiling, I take one last look at my room, grab my ipod, laptop, headphones, and my cell phone and put them in a bag then walk out of my room not to see it again for a while. I meet Katy outside and smile weakly at her. "I'm really gonna miss you Katy.." I say as I try not to cry again, geez I'm a baby. She smiles comfortingly at me and pulls me into a hug, "I'll miss you to Yuki"

I pull away giving her a confused look before a folder is shoved into my hands. "what's this?"

She sighs sadly "sweetie it's your new name and back round, along with who you will be staying with while in japan. Learn it well and promise to call me as soon as you get there?" I nod, "of course Katy who else would i call first?"

She rolls her eyes and hugs me again. "bye sweetie"

A tear falls from her eye as she pulls away and i wipe it away, "I'll skype you often. Don't cry over me, okay? Your gonna make me cry." She nods and walks me to the limo. She says goodbye yet again before I get into the limo for the ride to the airport. While on the way to the airport i look over the stuff in the folder. Making mental note of everything.
