As the sun began to set down, You turned around and smiled at me.

'Your smile became so bright after the things we've went through.... You worked so hard, dear.'

"Brother! Brother! Wake up you sleepyhead!" My little sister, Abby woke me up by smacking multiple pillows to my face.

I got up and rub my eyes to see the morning view from my window.

"What a great way to wake someone up, Abby." I said to her sarcastically and rubbed her head to mess her hair up. She groaned while I laughed at her.

We both raced to the kitchen to see what's for breakfast today.

"PANCAKES!!!" As we both shouted with excitement. Our mom and dad looked at us and laughed at our childish actions.

After I finished eating breakfast, I prepared my stuff for school.

Then after preparing, I said my goodbyes to my family and went out to go to my new school.

'Well, This is what people say a new home means a new life! I hope I can make some friends.' As I thought while walking.

I was walking peacefully and then I saw a bunch of people whispering something that I couldn't hear clearly so I decided to ask someone.

"Uhh... Excuse me? Did something happened in here?" I asked the short girl who was infront of me.

While she ties her hair into a ponytail, she turned around to face me.

"Yeah! A buncha people keep talkin' about Miss Icy Perfect when she just entered the school gates." She said and made a distressed face.

"... Miss Icy Perfect?" As I questioned her.

'I know those types of popular perfect smart people but whats with the icy in her nickname?' I thought deeply, I rubbed my chin and still thought about it.

She laughed at me for asking her such a question.

"Well you're in good hands, new bud! Seems like you're a new student so I'll do some explainin' for you! In the meantime let's be friends too." She said and gave me a smile and i smiled at her back.

"By the way, The name is Liza Flor! Dont forget it. Well, let's start shall we? Miss Icy Perfect or Amanda Davino is.... er.... the Top 2 Student in this school but she's not only about smarts but she's quite into sports too. She's on the same volleyball team as I am." She explained while doing gestures with her hands.

'Why did she hesitated to say that's she's a Top 2 Student? Is there something wrong?' I thought to myself.

"Well that's about it, man.... uhh.. What's your name?" Liza asked me.

I laughed at her while she kicked my leg

"Ow...Ow stop geez.. My name is Fernando Faustino. Stop kicking me now." I said to her.

We both laughed until she spoke

"Well that's a long name ya got there. I'll just call you FF.. wait no, that's too dumb.. maybe Fern will be alright? Is that alright for you dude?" She asked me while she was trying to reach my height.

"Anything is alright with me, Liza. We're near the school gates, Let's go!" I said running from her.

I was surprised she was able to catch up with me. Well she said she was on the volleyball team so that makes sense.

As we went inside our school. Suprised to see people gathered again infront of the school board that I needed to see to know what class am I going.

"Well this is gonna be a problem...." We both said and looked at each other signaling to say the reason.

"I need to look at what class I'm going to.." I said while scratching the nape of my neck.

"It's Miss Icy Perfect again and- HUH?!" Liza was shocked, her face flushed and hid behind my back.

As I look to this 'Amanda' girl, I saw another girl waving towards our direction. I waved back at her with a questionable face.

'So that's the girl who made Liza act like this... But who's that guy infront of Amanda? Why is he staring at her with a smug stare and Amanda was staring at him with a glare?' I have so much questions in my head that couldn't stop multiplying.

"You look like you're in deep thoughts, dude. That guy is the... the one who beat Amanda or in other terms he's the top 1 student." Liza said still hiding on my back and she suddenly clicked her tongue. I was surprised to see her angry.

I walked towards the school board because I was desperate to know what class I'm in despite the current situation that's occurring infront of it.

I walked passed behind Amanda and the girl who waved at me earlier and Amanda looked at me with such cold eyes.

Yes, I was intimidated but there was something hiding under those eyes... Something so mysterious that I got mesmerized by it. Those blue ocean like eyes staring so intensely to mine.

"A new student." Amanda broke the silence between us. She then turned around to face the guy that beat her.

"I'm going to prevent you on getting the Top 1 this year, Cesar." She firmly said still having that death glare in her ocean blue eyes.

"We'll see about that, Davino." This 'Cesar' guy said with a such sneering tone.

He then turned around to look at the other girl that waved at me and Liza earlier and gave her a dashing smile to impress her and walked away.

The problem is.... She wasn't impressed at all. It's more like she's afraid of him.

I then continued to look at the school board still not knowing what class I'm going in then someone tapped on my shoulder.

I jumped and quickly look on who tapped me and it was the girl from earlier.

"Good Morning, Faustino. I hope you'll have a good year on Seacoast Academy." She warmly said to me and gave me such a genuine smile.

'HOW DID SHE KNOW MY NAME?!'
