Lmao enjoy! TW- Abandonment]Saturday was pretty easy for Mondo. He made dinner for him and his brother (he burnt the casserole but Daiya had insisted it was still edible), and they watched movies all evening. A quiet Saturday night in was rare for the two men, being gang leaders and all, but it was nice. Relaxing.
About three films in, Mondo's eyes got heavy. He struggled to keep them open.He wasn't sure exactly when he fell asleep, but Mondo woke to a dark silhouette of Daiya in his boxers whacking him with a pillow.
"Bro wake the fuck up and go to bed!" He loud whispered through the dark living room, pausing his pillow assault. "I left ya out here cuz I thought you'd get up on yer own. It's like three am."
Mondo groaned.
Had he really been sleeping on the couch for that long?
Daiya gave him another swipe with the pillow, thumping it against his chest.
"Fuck...I'm up...getting up...bed." Mondo mumbled.
The younger heaved himself off the couch and stumbled down the hall, followed by his distressed brother, who ran a hand through his hair and chuckled under his breath.
"Christ. By the way, you snore loud as shit. Dunno if I've told ya that in a while."Mondo curled himself up in his blanket, kicking off clothing while underneath. It was cold. He heard Daiya's bedroom door close. As he drifted off again after the rude awakening, he had only one thought.
'Tomorrow is not going to go as planned.'A scowl came across Mondo's face. It was raining hard when he woke up Sunday morning. He had a text from about 9 am.
K. I. - Would you like to have a phone call study session instead?
It was like Taka read his mind. There was no way he was taking the bike out in this weather if he could help it. Plus, he really didn't want to ask his brother to drive him, that would mean Mondo would have to admit exactly where he was going- to go do homework with the hall monitor.
That'd get him an earful for sure.M. O. - sure
K. I. - Alright, that sounds wonderful
K. I. - Please give me a few minutes to prepare.Mondo did give him a few minutes, but found that he was almost excited to call Taka, finger hovering over the phone icon.
Maybe it was just because he wanted to get it over with.
Sure, that had to be it.+
It was raining on Sunday morning, which meant Taka would have to save his grocery trip for tomorrow. He didn't mind, after all Hopes Peak was closer to the grocery store than his house. He couldn't walk all that way in the rain, Taka couldn't risk getting sick. It was like a couple mile trip at least, and his only umbrella had holes.
Mondo agreed to a phone in study hall (thank God), and he'd gotten a text from Chihiro about a new opportunity. They wanted to start a club!
A new club....it was an exciting thought. But Taka's anxiety still had a grip on him.
They had assured him he didn't need to be out of the closet to join Gay Straight alliance, but he thought people might assume. However, they needed more members or the club wouldn't be able to continue to meet. Minimum requirements for clubs at Hope's Peak were five students and they had four confirmed members so far, with supposedly more on the way soon, just not soon enough.
He was already president of the Morals Committee, but they didn't really meet all that often, seeing as all ten members kept in touch pretty frequently and did things every day like manage detentions. Plus, Taka had been president for the last three years, so it came pretty easily.
He'd agreed to go, insisting that he could make time. It would be a tall order, but for some reason, the thought of not being a part of a group like that made his heart twist with sadness in his chest.Taka pulled his folders together, stacking them in a nice pile next to his pencil case. He took a drink of water just as his phone started buzzing on the desk.
He almost choked when he saw who was calling him.
