As I sitted on the front of Mare's car right beside I felt a flood of realization go through me. This is real. I'm really in New York. With my bestie. Going to study in the NY University. My dream became true.
"Hey! This is no time to space out Alyssa!! We have to pay attention! What we wanted for so long has finally arrived!! I can't believe this can you??" Mare cheered as she turned to look at me.
"Woahh I get that ur excited but keep ur eyes on the road. The traffic here is crazy." I replied.
"True but... what r u planning to do when we get there?" Mare asked.
"My schedule duh" I pointed.
"Oh right!! You haven't told me them!! You have been pretty distant huh? Go on. Can't run away now. Tell me."
She pressured.
"Fine. Just let me get my paper in my bag." I gave in.
As I opened my back and tried to reach for a paper I found something else instead.
"Oh shi-" I blurted.
"ALYSSA. Why do u still have that medicine?? I thought u were okay now!!" She shouted worried.
"Well, I still feel a little pain in my inner thigh and... well u know where."
"Mm. Okay then. Ugh it's all his fault. I can't believe he dumped you right after you told him!!! He's such a d*ck!!" Mare fumed.
"Yeah..." I sighed.
The silence lasted about 10 seconds before Mare broke it.
"Well let's not talk about that right now! We are here to have fun and unfortunately... study a bunch." Mare blurted.
"Haha yea we are." I responded.
"Anyway, show me ur schedule!!"
"Ohh right!!" I answered.
This time, I looked for the foto of it instead of looking for the paper in my bag. I started reading it out for her.
"Ummm... I have arrival and something called gorden relaxation practice at 8:20 than calendar and current events next. Then at 9, I have adaptive p.e, then uh after that speech and communication and then a library session. After that I have computer science then just science and then lunch. After that maths again the groden thing and then we have class jobs pack up and finally the dismissal. But it changes everyday so, ill just send it to you so we can meet on breaks." I finished.
I sender to her via Messages and noticed looking at the window that we had arrived.
"Phew... omg I'm a little anxious and u??" Mare questioned.
"I'm strangely calm." I answered.
"Mm that's unnessecarily mysterious huh..."
"W-what? Is that a quote or somethin?"
"Oh right u didnt see legacies." Mare remembered.
I opened the door ignoring my bestie's bc she was weird as usual and I stared at that ginormous building in front of me. I was so ready for this. This is my chance to start anew.
