Step 14

Red's POV

I was awakened by someone softly ruffling my hair. I slowly opened my eyes and was shocked to see a smiling Blue in front of me. I blinked a few times. Am I dreaming? Or is he finally awake?

OH MY GOSH! HE IS AWAKE!

And why am I staring at him? Ay Oo nga pala. Nakatulog akong nakayuko in his bed.

"You're awake!" I smiled.

"Yes. Yes I am." He replied. Medyo hoarse pa ang boses niya kaya kinuha ko siya ng tubig. Ininom niya naman yun sa isang lagok lang.

"Where is everyone?" He asked, looking around the room.

"Clyde went home to grab a few things." I replied. "Blake is in the canteen while Denver and Verena are still in school kasi may exam sila. Don't worry. They'll come here as soon as their done with their tests."

Blue slowly nodded. He gestured me to come closer to him and then he pulled me in for a hug. I can't say na hindi ako kinilig. Tae. Feeling ko nga kumawala na yung kaluluwa ko at kung saan saan na naglibot.

"I missed you." He whispered.

I hugged him tighter afraid of letting him go. "I missed you too. So much."

"O kinikilig ka nanaman. You want to tili? Go. I won't laugh." He smirked.

Kinurot ko lang ilong niya at inisnaban siya. "Kapal!"

Nagkwentuhan lang kami nang nagkwentuhan nang parang may biglang naalala si Blue.

"Wait. You forgot to mention Cyrus." His eyes are questioning. "Is he okay? Since you know, he is actually the reason I'm in here."

"Uh- ano-" I stuttered but then the door opening cut me off.

"Mr. Salvatore. You're finally awake." Sabi nung doctor and proceeded to examine him. When he is satisfied na okay na talaga si Blue, umalis na siya. Pero pinagalitan niya muna ako kasi hindi ko raw siya agad tinawag nung nagising na si Blue. Sorry naman daw. I was too overwhelmed to remember.

Blue was about to say something when we are again disturbed by the sound of the door opening.

"Red, I bought you carbonara diba this is your favo-" Blake started before stopping at once and dropping his take outs. "What the actual fvck. BROOOOOOOOOO!" Blake shouted at tumakbo kay Blue. He jumped on him and hugged him so tight.

"HOY BLAKE TIGILAN MO NGA SI BLUE TIGNAN MO KAGIGISING LANG EH!" I shouted while pulling Blake off of Blue.

"Blake dude yeah I miss you too." Blue laughed while attempting to push Blake's face away from his face. "Wait are you crying?!"

Napatingin naman ako kay Blake na lumuluha na nga. Teka, dinaig pa ako nito ha. Sabagay, naubos na ata luha ko kaiiyak nung mga naunang araw. Si Blake kasi ngayon palang umiyak.

"I'm just super duper happy Bro." Blake sniffed. "Kasi you remember me. I don't know what I'll do if you also have amnesia."

Natigilan naman si Blue dun sa sinabi ni Blake. "What? What do you mean also? Who has amnesia?"

Patay tayo.

Tinignan ko si Blake at tila naging statue na siya.

"Cyrus has amnesia, Bro." Clyde answered, closing the door. "And he's so out of control."

Hindi nagsasalita si Blue. Nakatingin lang siya kay Clyde.

"Hanggang ngayon ba?" I asked.

"A bit." Clyde sighed. "The difference is nakakausap na siya ngayon pero parating mainit ang ulo niya. He even pushed his family away. Sinigaw sigawan niya sila tita kaninang umaga. Kaya ayun bumalik nalang ulit sila ng ibang bansa. Naiwan yung kapatid niya. Sakanya lang ata okay si Cy eh. Binilin nalang muna si Cyrus saatin. By the way, I'm glad you're finally awake Bro."

Clyde went to Blue and hugged him too.

"Can- Can I see Cyrus?" Blue asked.

Nagkatinginan kami.

"I don't know if you're allowed out of bed." Clyde shrugged.

"I can handle myself." Blue insisted.

"Titignan niya lang naman si Cy." I intervened. "Besides, Cyrus' room is just next door."

Blake stood up. "Kaya nga. Let him see for himself the devil named Cyrus. Be careful. He bites."

At nauna nang lumabas ng pinto si Blake.

"Wag kang maniwala kay Blake, alam mo naman yan." I whispered.

Blue nodded.

"Cyrus really bit Blake though." Clyde laughed. "Yun yung ayaw kasi siyang tantanan ni Blake kanina. Nabadtrip ata kaya ayun kinagat nalang niya yung baba ni B."

Nasa labas na kami ng kwarto ni Cyrus at dito palang naririnig na namin ang away na nagaganap sa loob.

Clyde opened the door kasi sakanya lang ata medyo kalamado si Cyrus.

"Kuya, will you please calm down?" Seth- Cyrus' younger brother rubbed his back.

"Get that asshole out of my room Seth." Clyde seethed. "Before I kill him."

Tinignan ko kung sino ang tinitignan ng masama ni Cyrus at teka magtataka pa ba ako? Malamang si Blake.

"Fine! Ayan tatakpan ko nalang mukha ko para hindi ka na mainis!" Blake covered his face with his hands.

Imbis na gumaan ang pakiramdam ni Cyrus eh mas nainis pa to. Binato niya kay Blake yung unan niya.

Poor Blake.

"Kuya, he's your best friend." Seth told Cyrus. "You can't just push him away."

"No, he's not." Cyrus replied annoyingly. "I have no best friend as annoying as him."

Seth just sighed and shook his head, obviously tired from arguing with his Brother. At least Cyrus accepted na kapatid niya si Seth. It's not like he has a reason not to. Seth is the spitting image of a younger Cyrus.

Clyde cleared his throat kaya napalingon sila saamin.
"Cyrus, I want you to meet someone."

Tumabi si Clyde para makita si Blue. Blue walked forward and stopped just a few inches away from Cyrus' bed. They looked at each other intently before Cyrus let out a few words that confused and shocked us all.

"I know you."
