Grieve sorrow and misery was all around the corner in the smith's house. Joel and Beth's grandma, Samantha, had just passed away. While Joel was 12 Beth was 22 and was ready to start her own job. After the funeral Beth and her mom were cleaning up their grandma's room. With awe seeing all the wonderful memories they had been together. The telephone rang and Ms. Smith went to pick it up whilst Beth continued to clean. Suddenly something caught her eye. It was an old pair of gold earrings wrapped in a paper with something written on it. Curious Beth kept it in a box nearby in the room. After cleaning the room, Ms. Smith went to donate grandma Samantha's clothe boxes to the charity and Beth went to pick Joel from School not realizing that she had kept the earring wrapped in the paper in one of the boxes. After a long day, Beth came to her room and lay down on her bed recollecting the wonderful memories of her and grandma Samantha only to remember the earring and piece of paper. As quick as possible she went and enquirer with her mom about it. "it's in the caring charity home nearby, why?" responded Ms. Smith
"oh, nothing to worry about, just keeping track" mockingly said Beth and kissed her mother goodnight for she knew tomorrow was a big day. Early in the morning before even the cock crew Beth woke up. To kick start her day she at pancake and honey with some fruit and as she headed out, she was stopped by her mom for a job interview. "I know you like cooking, so I though you can join bakes for breaks down town because they have a seat for a job, you know. You can make yourself few many dollars from working there, "said Ms. Smith It was true Beth loved cooking but she wanted to start up her own business so she brushed the topic off by saying she was busy and that she will see later. How she was finally one step ahead to it. She reached the shop and inquired with all the staff members but the only stuff that came yesterday was some clothes of her grandmas and necklaces from someone else. "This has to be somewhere "Beth mumbled to herself. She then thought hard where it could be and suddenly had a plan. She then asked the staff member where are the boxes kept. "They are in the store room at the back, you can come with me if you want" countered the staff member. In hope of finding it, Beth gladly said "Yes I would love to" In the store room there was nothing but 2 piles of unsorted boxes with loads of stuff in it. Beth patiently searched through each box but couldn't find it. She asked the staff member "where are the boxes that came yesterday" O, they have gone to the recycling unit, the truck just came in today in the morning and took all they empty boxes"." Gosh" said Beth, she thanked the staffer and left to go to the recycle unit. With all the searching done it had already become evening and Beth knew she had to return home soon.
After several missed phone calls from her mom, she decided to head home and she was in shock. Her mother was angrily starring at her. "Blimey, what have I done this time" Beth mumbled to herself. "Heavens id I forget joe in school, I sorry mom I was busy please understand". Yes, indeed she had forgotten Joel I school but thankfully Ms. Smith was passing by the school and to a phone call from Joel. After a lot of apologizing, Ms. Smith finally forgave her and Beth promised she would never do anything silly like this again. After a satisfactory dinner. The sisters helped clean up and were off to sleep. The next morning Beth caught a piece of paper and a pen and wrote where she went and what to do next..
