Chapter 4: Hidden Years
The bell rang, signalling the end of the day. 14-year-old L/n Y/n rushed out of her classroom, only to come face-to-face with the bustling herd of students who were making their way home.
She hastily sidestepped her way through them, desperate to get through quickly, the excited chattering that emitted from students had gathered itself into a simultaneous noise - the buzzing was so loud L/n felt as if her eardrums would burst.
Finally, she pushed through the gap between two bulky students and emerged from the crowd, now facing the front door of her childhood best friend's homeroom - Class 3C.
"Hey, Katsuki," drawled a lazy voice from inside. "Wanna join us at the arcade today?" Another voice made a noise of agreement.
"Who's going," went Bakugou Katsuki.
"Oh, just us, our girlfriends, Y/n," said the first voice, Matu, as he counted them off his fingers. "Though I haven't told her yet."
A low grunt came from Bakugou.
"Tell Y/n, then we'll go."
The other two 'ooed'.
"Still a softie for Y/n, even after all those years," cooed Matu. The second voice, Patlu, let out a series of giggles.
"Shut your trap or I'll toss you all the way to hell," snarled Bakugou as he stepped out of the classroom, the two others trailing behind him with identical cheeky grins.
They overtook him, hurrying ahead, but of course, it didn't take long to have Bakugou snap at them angrily -
"Don't walk in front of me, dammit."
Matu, who was walking behind Patlu, let out a sheepish grin. "Sorry, Katsuki. It's just that I've got to get to -"
"Hi, guys!" said a voice brightly.
Patlu stopped abruptly, Matu crashing into him. Both boys groaned as Bakugou cooly made his way over to the person in front of them, both hands in his pockets.
"Overheard you guys are going to the arcade," L/n titled her head to the side. "Am I invited?" Bakugou gave her a funny look.
"What do you think?"
L/n gave a small cheer. "Awesome! It'll be me meeting Fumiyo and Yuuki for the first time, too." At the names of their respective girlfriends, Matu and Patlu perked up.
