*BEEP BEEP BEEP BE-*
"Nghh..." The girl groaned as she hit her alarm clock, not wanting to wake up.
There she is! Our lovely main character, (Y/n) (L/n). She works at a large cafè, lives in a nice sized apartment and is just living an average life. Currently, she is 19 years old.
Today would be no different.
Hopefully.

Sitting up, (Y/N) let out a big yawn. She had to go to work at 7 this morning, which normally isn't a problem, but she had stayed up watching... something. She couldn't be bothered to think about it.
She turned her body towards the end of the bed and put her feet into her bunny slippers.
Standing up, she stretched out her arms and legs, hearing the satisfying 'pops'. She walked into the bathroom to do her regular routine. First, she brushed her teeth. Then, she looked at her face and made sure that there was no leftover drool on her face.
After making sure there wasn't anything on her face, she went and got into the shower.
After going through all of that, the (h/c) haired girl goes into her kitchen to start cooking some toast and eggs. It wasn't anything too special, just something to last her until she got to the cafè.
(Y/n) has been taking a little bit of the food ever since she started. She, luckily, hadn't been caught yet.
As she's eating, she goes through her phone. There's nothing unusual going on where she lives. Just some weird weather. A few storms have been happening, and they seemed crazier than the normal storms that pass by. Other than that, her plain life has stayed plain.
Once in a while, she wished for a little spice. It could be something like the stories she reads for all she cares. All she wants is for something at least a little major to happen.
(Y/n) shook her head, trying to get these thoughts out of her mind. All this wishful thinking wasn't getting her paid. Looking at the clock, it read 6:45. She had to get going or she would get another scolding from her manager.

When she finally got there, she noticed that it was a Friday. The worst day of the week.
Everyone always came on Fridays, to end the week on a good note. But for the people working, it was an absolute nightmare.
This was a known cafe. Everyone knew about it, so it was obviously a tourist trap. People also came to hang out with friends, to meet on little dates, or to frantically study for a test they had forgotten. And what better day to come than on a Friday?
But more people meant that there was more work to do.
'Uhhhhhh... I hate Fridays...' The girl thought to herself, already regretting not calling in sick that morning.
She went into the back, clocking in and putting on her apron. Being a barista got messy sometimes.
"Hey, idiot," An annoying voice called. "You're late. Again."
Ugh. That was Jelsa.
"I know Jelsa. You don't have to remind me," (Y/n) groaned, really regretting not calling in sick that morning.
"Jelsa, if I come back there and you are tormenting (Y/n) again, we are going to have a problem," A literal angel called from around the corner. Jelsa rolled her eyes and walked away, not before pushing (Y/n) away with her shoulder.
(Y/n) let out a breath she didn't know she was holding. She turned to look at her savior, Aaron.
"Thanks, Aaron. What would I do without you?" She said, looking at the taller man.
He smiled back, "You would probably be bullied by Jelsa all the time," He chuckled before looking at the clock. "Well, we better go help out. Rush hour is about to start."

The only time (Y/n) and Jelsa and they worked together was when their work was dependent on it.
"Hey, J? Could you go refill the coffee at table seven?" (Y/n) called.
"Yeah, can you check on table 9? They look like they are ready to order," Jelsa replied, already grabbing the pitcher.
Aaron looked at the girls from the side, slightly chuckling. 'Women can be so weird...'
After work, Jelsa and (Y/n) we're back at each other's throats, but while working they acted like they've been friends for years! Women are so confusing sometimes!

After work was a different story. Especially on a Friday. Everyone was tired and all they wanted to do was go home and sleep. (Y/n) and Jelsa didn't have the energy to scream at each other, so they just clocked out and left.
While walking home, (Y/n) passed a dark alley. There was some sort of weird glow coming from it and she stopped to look at it. She narrowed her eyes before quickly speeding off.
'Hell no, I've read too many books to be going down some stupid alleyway. That's basically just signing up for death!'
As she speed walked home, the mysterious glow got brighter. Until it made a popping noise. Ominous chuckles came from the dark area.
"That's the one~" The deeper voice echoed.
"Are you sure? I don't know if I trust your judgment anymore, not after what happened last time." A softer, but firm voice replied.
"Listen, how was I supposed to know that he would just jump?! He did it without warning as well." The eerie voice boomed.
"Whatever, just don't mess this one up, okay? She seems nicer than the other ones." The soft voice cautioned.
"Don't worry. She seems more...something." The deep voice beamed.
"'Something'? You are way too difficult sometimes. Let's go before someone sees us." The soft voice concluded.
Before anyone could notice the strange noises, they seemed to disappear as if they were never there in the first place.

(Y/n) turned around, looking back down the street.
'Weird. I thought I heard something.'
She shrugged before continuing home.
