Jessie's P.O.V.

It really is beautiful....and deep, why is it deep?

Those were the first thoughts that Jessie had when they arrived on Astheria. Or should he say, in Astheria.

Panic settled in as Jessie realised that he was no longer holding Amandas' hand. Frantically, he looked around and found her floating several feet below him looking around for him too. When his brown eyes met her green ones she nodded to the surface and and started swimming.

When they broke the surface they were both heavily panting, trying to suck in as much air as possible after being deprived of it.

Just then Jessie turned on Amanda.

"Are you crazy?!", he yelled. "We could've drowned!". He frowned at her but she was just grinning like she had just been on the ride of a lifetime.

"What are you talking about?", she said. "That was so cool, we've never landed in an ocean before!".

She looked around, her eyes wide in wonder and awe, as she took in the crystal clear blue ocean that met the horizon that was just as blue.

Jessie meanwhile was freaking out. He span all around in the beautiful water looking for land that they could swim to. He faintly spotted a strip of land that was pretty far away but just close enough to swim to. Not like they had a choice anyway.

When he started swimming in the direction of land Amanda looked over in confusion. "Where are you going?".

"To land, so that I don't die in this ocean", he said in a sarcastic tone. Amanda roled her eyes and started swimming after him, enjoying the feel of the water in her long red hair and soaking into her clothes.

An hour later and a half later, after swimming several miles to shore, Amanda and Jessie pulled themselves on to the warm sand and promptly passed out.

When Jessie woke, the first thing he noticed was that bright red sand. The beach stretched to the sides in a semi-circle for about five miles on both sides.

Sitting up he took in the rest of the beach and couldn't believe his eyes. Everything was bright and beautiful. The trees were huge and willowy and pink, with strange pale fruits hanging from the branches. He could see all of the different fish swimming in the clear water in front of him and when he looked up to the sky... He was amazed to say the least.

"Amazing", he breathed out, marveling at the three suns in the sky. Green, blue, and yellow. Those werethe colors of the suns.

Suddenly Jessie remembered that he had not come to Astheria alone. Mandy, he thought.

Looking around, he saw her laying in the surf, waves softly lapping at her cheeks. He got up and walked to her sleeping form, crouching down next to her and gently shaking her shoulder.

"Mandy", he said. "Wake up".

"Five more minutes, Mom", she muttered sleepily. Jessie chuckled and moved her hair out of her face.

"I'm not Lindsay", he told her referring to her mother, Lindsay Lockman. "I'm Jessie and we're on Astheria, so get up".

Mandy peeked an eye open, saw the red sand, and immediately sat up, knocking heads with Jessie in her haste.

"Owww", they groaned in unison, Mandy rubbing her forhead and Jess rubbing his nose.

After the initial pain wore off Mandy jumped on Jess pulling him into a bear hug.

"We're alive", she yelled, straight into Jessies' ear.

"Ugh, my eardrum!", he moaned, making Amanda laugh.

"Not funny", he muttered, making her laugh even harder.

Finally calmed down, Mandy looked around noticed all of the things that Jessie had noticed and grinned widely.

"James never fails to surprise", she said. Jessie grinned along with her and stood up.

"Come on", he said, offering her a hand. "Let's go explore this world".
