"Welcome to British Airways jet. We shall be escorting you to New York City. Our air hostess shall come at your every need thank you." A woman's high pitch voice rang out across the row of posh seats puffed up with cushions, a TV, books and food. I still couldn't believe I was sitting in first class on the way to America... AMERICA!? I still couldn't get that into my head. I looked at the TV screen before me playing frozen, gosh that has been on for a while, I thought it would've been old school but nope the woman next to me was even intrigued by it. "H-hi I'm Mia nice to meet you." I said trying to be as polite as possible. "Oh hey I'm Fern!" She enthusiastly replied. She had mousy brown hair and brown eyes the common look. I could see she was more than normal. Wait a minute I thought to myself she must seems a bit... Oh.My.Gosh. It was Fern. The Fern I knew from birth but she'd moved to AMERICA? My sly mother must've known. "Fern don't you remember me. I'm Clem... Clementine?" Her brown eyes looked at me again with shock. "Oh.My.God MIA!!!!" She screamed before pouncing on me with a massive hug I laughed and hugged her back. I couldn't believe it we were together again after all those years! "So tell me everything and I mean it job, relationship, gay or not... EVERYTHING!!" "Gosh quieten down Fern some of these old bone bags are asleep." We both chuckled at my joke. "Well I'm not gay to start of why would I be!! No offence to any of you in here! I got into Uni at Cambridge to study Astronomy. Umm...I'm single as usual because of my disgust of a relationship bleuh! Oh I've got a job helping Stevn Hawkins. See I told you studying would help." I said punching her in the shoulder. "Where have you been Fern?! I've missed you." My tone changed into serious now realising it had been many years since I had even contacted her. Boy how I'd missed her but- "We have discovered a slight delay passengers keep calm but be prepared for putting seatbelt back on thank you." The pilots droning on broke my train of thought causing me to pay attention to Fern again. "Well...I" she started scratching her head a sign of awkwardness and embarrassment. "I was banned they said I could talk to you but well..." "What Fern what happened!" She gave me the look of horror. "Look... It's sort of hard to say well...I GOT A JOB IN NEW YORK!!!!" I squealed with her not believing it !

Ferns P.O.V

Oh.My.God. I haven't seen Clem in 7 years , 7 whole years! Since my dad lost his job and we moved to America, Clem and I last saw each other when I left, tears flowing down
our faces like we would never see each other again. But destiny changed its mind, it couldn't cope with the sadness vibing in our hearts, so we had to meet again.

Today we met again, both off to our dream jobs/holidays/lives , both grinning like we did as children when the plate full of biscuit appeared on the table. Anyhow I still don't understand how we lost contact, but none of that matters now because on the plane we were giggling like those bitchy girls at the back of Ms Oak-Brookshire English class.

It's funny that even though we haven't seen or heard from each other in 7 years but neither of us has really changed: still single, still have loads in common, still have the same dreams and still BFFs!...and Mia still judge people depending on their jawline!

As the load roar of the engine simmered down, we knew it was time to part but we planned to re-live some of our crazy childhood sleepovers... No one said that we were responsible adults!
Neither of us could wait to re unite the our dogs who were BFFS as pups , Cranberry and Roger an exact replica of mine and Clem's friendship. But dogs of course. I looked back at Clem getting her luggage and I copied her actions both of us now getting ready to exit this luxury flight!
