Chapter 10- The Big Surprise

I woke up to the sun beaming onto my skin on this bright and early Saturday morning.
"Rise and shine." said George as he opened up my teal curtains.
"Can you close my curtains please?" I said in an angry tone.
"Nope. You need some Vitamin D." he replied with a chuckle.
"I really need to start locking my room door."I mumbled under my breath.

"Georgyy would you come down here and help me with breakfast." mom said calling George from downstairs.
"I'm coming mom." he replied and ran downstairs.

I got up and threw on some shorts and headed downstairs for some breakfast at the dinner table.
"Morning Anna." mom said, placing a plate of turkey bacon and waffles in the front of me.
"Good Morning."I replied, beginning to eat my bacon also known as the love of my life.

I noticed my mom reading the mail which was dropped off on the front porch this morning.

"Hunny these look like your letters to see if you got accepted into the two colleges you signed up for." She looked at me in excitement.
I immediately dropped my fork down onto my plate. "Oh My Gosh,Finally!" I said, running over to her.
She handed me both letters."Well Anna?" she asked as I opened the first letter.
"I didn't get accepted to Harvard University." I said shaking my head in depression.
"Well open the next one." she said in a lowly tone of voice.
"I guess Anna will be spending time with me for the next 6 years until I graduate." George said jokingly.
"Haha very funny." I replied with a straight face.
I opened the next letter.
"OMG Mom! I got accepted to Pepperdine University!" I said jumping around.
"Congrats Anna Powell." she said as she hugged me tight.
"But mom, this says I have to be there within the next TWO days!"I said shockingly.
"Well we will find a way sweety,but what you need to start doing is getting your things together." she said.

I went into my room grabbing some boxes and bags. I threw a lot of different items in at one time.
I decided to text a few friends and tell them the good news. When I sent Dana the text message she called me right away due to how happy she was. We had talked about it for hours,although she was sad that me and her wasn't going to be attending the same college.
I'd also told Blake and Jarod about it. They said that their letters didn't even come as yet.

The rest of my day mostly consisted of plenty packing. Mom and George went out to pick up Lilly from her friends house and to buy some grocery.

After about six hours of packing I decided to take a bath and relax. I decided to watch some t.v shows and was tuning all the way out because I was thinking about college life, which I basically could've smelt. It was right there.

1) Do you think Anna will like Pepperdine University?
2) Do you think Anna was able to make it there within two days?

Fact: Pepperdine University was where the show Zoey101 was filmed. That was one of my favorite shows! (And still is one of them)
