I walk around the courts of High School, smiling at some new faces and other faces I recognise. I look at some faces and make judgements to myself.
I've always been one of them girls who enjoys her own company, but sometimes I have no choice but to enjoy my own company. I haven't always been popular, well I guess what I mean to say is, I've never been popular and I never will be. In kindergarten i use to play by myself, same as elementary, and middle school I use to sit and read a book. Im hoping that now I'm at High School, things are going to change. I have a slight bit of hope that they might, but I'm 98.9% sure that they're going to stay the same. I don't mind my own company, but it would be nice to talk to someone every known and then. Someone to tell my secrets too and someone to have a laugh with and gossip with.
I live at home with strict parents but they're lovely. They speak softly and they are very soft but when you get on their wrong side, you don't want to mess with them. I also have an older sister, Kylie. I look like her, actually I look almost identical to her, we look so alike. We both have long glossy straight black hair, pale green eyes, really long eye lashes, standing out cheekbones, skinny, good bum and good boobs, great legs. The only difference is, she has loads of friends, and she actually gets attention from boys, where as I don't. My parents and my sister are always going on about how pretty and stunning I am, and then there's guys who are like "you like like a potato". It's just I don't understand. Kylie gets so much attention, and I don't. I don't understand how I don't get the attention she gets because we look so similar, just the fact that she's older.
"Hey, it's Alana, right?" A girl says from behind me. I turn around and see a girl who I went to Kindergarden with. Lindsay. Lindsay has blonde ringlets up to her shoulders, big brown eyes, skinny, big boobs, and a face full of makeup. I bet you that she'll be in with the popular crowd straight away. I just bet you.
"Um, hey," I say nervously. She gives a weak smile then struts off. I roll my eyes and walk over to the tables in the courts. I smile to the girl stood behind there and she asks my name.
"Alana, Alana Green," I say as I watch her rummage through some folders. She passes me a blue ring binder with paper in side and plastic wallets filled with stuff. I smile and walk off, already eager to look through my folder to see what's in it. I have my timetable of lessons, a map of the school, a booklet of after school clubs to take part in, a medical form and a key for my new locker. The bell rings ready for lessons, great. I pull out my timetable and see that first, I have Biology. I roll my eyes and sigh. I hate science, with a passion, it's worse than maths! Biology isn't too bad, that's the only one of science subjects I actually understand a little. Physics confuses me so much, and don't even get me started on Chemistry!
I walk into my Biology class and see a short, skinny and bold man stood by the white board.
"Hello, can you sit there please?" He says pouting to the back seat. I growl but smile and I walk to near the back. I take a seat and get out my pencil case with all my pens in and I stare at the man who I assume is the teacher. People are still walking in, I sigh and tap my pen impatiently as I watch more people walking in. I watch all the feet walk past me. I put my chin on my hand and I stare at the floor until I feel someone staring at me. I look up and see someone take a seat at the desk that is in front of me. He sits with his back to me. He turns his head to the side and oh my god. Holy Jesus! He's one damn good looking guy. His jaw line is good and his face is a good shape and his hair is styled perfectly."Okay class! I'd like you all to stand up one by one and introduce yourself. I'm going to start, I'm Mr Brown. Okay, young lady at the back please," He says snapping me out my daydream of the good looking guy in front of me. Suddenly everyone's staring at me, including the guy in front of me.
