Though Jennie might have been wrong, hell hasn't seen her in so long but those hazel doe eyes and that face weren't so easy to forget.

Jennie couldn't possibly forget the face of the girl who constantly plagued her mind, her thoughts made her lose her focus.

The woman from the bar was Lisa and now, after all these years of waiting, she's finally here, right in front of her!

God, What has she done so right?!

Only a fool wouldn't see the golden opportunity presenting itself on a diamond platter and Jennie wasn't a fool but an opportunist. She snatches the slightest opportunity that comes her way, every little opening she gets, and well, there Lisa was, the girl who gave her, her first heartbreak, the girl who left her without a word, not even a proper goodbye. Lisa just disappeared without a trace and left her alone to suffer.

How cruel of her!

Jennie highly doubted that Lisa knew what she did or even remembered her as it had been along time already and from the looks of things Jennie wasn't as important to Lisa as she was to her.

Guess good looks can only get you so far and as Jennie watched Lisa now, all grown up, She felt her heart skip a beat.

"Shall we begin?" Jennie asked and leaned back on her chair as she fought the grin that was threatening to break out on her face. She watched Lisa get up from her chair and started explaining details about the project to the board members but Jennie wasn't listening, she just kept on staring at Lisa like she was her world.

' Ha! This would be fun' Jennie said to herself, she would let the chase begin and make sure she enjoys every moment of it. Lisa will be hers no matter what and this time she would be ready to follow Lisa to the deepest parts of hell if she tries to disappear like that again. Lisa would be all hers and nobody else's.

Jennie looked down at Lisa's hands and saw them shaking as Lisa took deep breaths to calm her nerves while she silently prayed that Jennie wouldn't notice it but she did.

How wouldn't she when her eyes were fixed on Lisa the entire time?

After Lisa finished talking and took back her seat, her eyes alongside those of the other people in the room stared in Jennie's direction, waiting for her to pass the final verdict.

Jennie looked at Lisa and saw her nervously playing with her fingers which made her smile, Lisa was worried that Jennie would disapprove of the project and Jennie thought Lisa was cute for acting like that. Though the project plan was an excellent one, Lisa still thought Jennie wouldn't like it.

How could Jennie possibly bring herself to disapprove of her woman's business proposal?

Good or bad, Jennie would always support Lisa.

"Where do I sign?" Jennie's voice broke the silence in the room and Lisa's associates heaved a sigh of relief but Lisa didn't, she still felt tense as the storm hadn't fully cleared.

"I'm sorry to waste any more of your time Ms. Kim but my vice president is currently stuck in traffic and she has all the verification paper that you need to sign. May I ask that you extend some patience and give us more time?" Lisa politely requested and nervously bit her lower lip. She blinked twice while looking at her and Jennie felt her heart melting at Lisa's cute gesture.

If it had been someone else, Jennie would have walked out of the place already and then made the person go bankrupt for wasting her time. Unprofessionalism was never tolerated by her but then again this woman's case was the exact opposite, Jennie's time was hers to waste.

Then her single brain celled assistant spoke, totally interrupting the ogle session Jennie was having on Lisa. Why was everyone just so cruel to her?!

"How unprofessional?! First, you came here totally unprepared, and now you are asking president Kim to give you-" He wasn't able to finish his statement because Jennie quickly cut him off before he said something completely stupid.

"How rude James, shame on you! Is that how you talk to a pretty lady?" Jennie asked James then turned to Lisa.

"Will your vice president be here soon?" Jennie asked Lisa and she nodded before saying;

"Yes, she will" Lisa answered.

"Hmm, then I don't see the problem in being patient, patience is a virtue, isn't it? So I guess I will wait." Jennie said, trying to look like the saint that she wasn't in front of Lisa while watching all her board members eyes go wide with shock with some even choking on their saliva.

Jennie's employees know who their boss was, a woman who didn't even know the definition of patience, talk more of using it in her vocabulary and they couldn't hide their obvious surprise when they heard their boss talking about being patient.

It was like she spoke in a language that was foreign to everyone on earth and their brains couldn't quite process it.

The rest of the meeting went as planned even though they had to wait thirty more minutes for Rose to show up before getting the contract signed but things still went well as those glorious minutes were wisely invested by Jennie into staring at Lisa.

Lisa would occasionally turn to find Jennie intently staring at her but Jennie didn't stop and just kept sending the intense gazes that Lisa completely ignored. She knew Jennie was staring at her and Jennie also knew Lisa was aware of her stares but kept doing it anyway, like Jennie wanted Lisa to know she was staring at her.

Jennie's eyes were like hot lasers piercing through Lisa and it was making her feel uncomfortable.

'Could she look somewhere else? Why is she even looking at me like that?' Lisa asked herself.

After they were done signing the contract, they shook hands and before leaving, Lisa gave Jennie a bright smile which made Jennie's heart melt into a puddle.

Lisa had grown into a beautiful woman, no longer the cute little girl Jennie once knew. She had become even more breathtaking and Jennie felt the room grew lonely when Lisa left.

The room was now empty, as everyone had already left except Jennie and it became silent .... lifeless, it reminded her of her lonely life. The meeting had been long over but Jennie still sat on her chair, thinking. It all felt like a dream, one she didn't want to wake up from.

How cheesy it must sound, right?

She remembered everything clearly, the memory of the very first time she meet Lisa was still very vivid in her mind like it all happened yesterday. Jennie closed her eyes and was instantly taken back to the day she first laid eyes on Lisa, the day she met her beloved.
