Luka Coffaine
"Luka, I need some advice."

Luka smiled. "Your rhythm is difficult to read. As if two songs are playing at once."

Marinette sighed. "Have you ever liked someone, then grown to love someone? Like, you love someone and you really think you love them but then someone else comes into the light and suddenly you're not so sure?"

"Yes, in a way," he said thoughtfully. "But then I got to know them both better as different people, learning the different aspects between both of them, to ultimately see them as one."

"But, they can't be one. They're two completely different melodies!"

"If you love someone Marinette, you'll be able to see the inside and outside of their song. If you love someone and you can't figure out who they are underneath the layers, maybe you should reconsider if you really know them enough to love them."

"But what if you want two people to have the same melody so badly, but you know there's no possible way because they're different genres of music!" she protested.

"Marinette, sometimes the song you're looking for is right in front of you. The two genres may not be as separate as you imagine. You might be surprised by what melody they create when combined."

Marinette's eyes widened and she stood up abruptly. "I need to go right now! Thank you so much Luka!"

She kissed him on the cheek then ran off the boat, her feet barely touching the ground as she sprinted.

Luka smiled knowingly. She would finally be happy.
