Cassie has been dreaming up certain tattoos for herself and she thought there was no better time to do it than now, after getting out of an exhausting long-term relationship. There is no better person to etch beautiful artwork on her body than one o...
"I love this song!" Cassie gushes as the song 'At My Worst,' by Pink Sweat$, starts playing in my car.
It's currently 9pm and I'm taking Cassie home from having dinner at Jin's place.
This morning, Jin had picked up Cassie to shop for decorations and party favors for a big birthday bash that they are planning on throwing for Cassie's mom, Maggie. Cassie didn't want to keep the supplies at her place, so Jin suggested he go shopping with her and he would hold on to the supplies, especially since he lives closer to her parents' house. Cassie ended up spending most of the day with Jin.
When I called Cassie to see if she was free to hang out in the late afternoon to grab a bite to eat for dinner, she said Jin insisted I come over so we could barbecue some good cuts of meat. I definitely couldn't turn the offer down, so I went over.
It's fun whenever I spend time with Cassie and Jin. Those two act like a brother and sister who constantly bicker about trivial things. It's amusing as hell.
Since Cassie didn't drive, because Jin picked her up this morning, I decided to give her a ride home now.
She had a few too many glasses of wine during dinner and is currently passionately singing 'At My Worst.'
She has an insanely gorgeous voice. I can recall when we used to be in choir together back in high school. She sat next to me in class for four years. The first year we met, we were assigned seats. But, the last three years, we would make sure to sit next to each other and our teacher was fine with it. I was lucky to hear her singing next to me every school day.
I keep looking over as she sings and she makes the cutest faces when she belts out the lyrics. I try not to stare too much and try to focus my eyes on the road. But, it's honestly hard to keep my eyes off her.
When the song finishes, I whistle out to show I'm impressed.
"Your voice is amazing as always," I compliment her and look over to give her a proud smile while we are at a red light. I notice her cheeks tinged pink.
"Oh, my voice isn't anything, really," she modestly says in a meek voice.
She tears her eyes away from me and looks at her phone.
I know Cassie gets shy and hates making eye contact with people, in general. It's adorable how bashful she can get, especially when people compliment her.
"I'm being honest," I tell her as I look forward, now focusing on driving since the light turned green.
"Sure," she says, awkwardly, then she changes the subject. "Anyway, I didn't know you posted this pic of Jin earlier while we were at his place. Jin makes the best food." Cassie points out the picture I posted of Jin on my Instagram and I briefly look at her phone.
