I began writing this story...seven years ago. I was 12 and in seventh grade. I am now going to finish it. I have about fifty pages in a notebook filled and I am working on typing it all up and fixing it up. It's not nearly finished.

She walked through the damp, cold, dark woods, her bare feet sore and wet. She stopped and curled up under a tree, hiding in the crevasse. Knees pressed up against her chest, head tucked close, she waited. Soon she heard the noises of fifteen or so horses trotting through the woods. The Knights whispers quiet, the horse came to a halt. The Knights looked around searching for the girl. She took quiet breaths, trying not to be heard. More whispers, more annoyed neighing from the massive horses. The knights turned around and road back to the castle.

The girl waited a few moments before slowly standing back up and continuing on her way. She searched high and low for a dry, warm shelter to rest in for the remainder of the night. The girl noticed a very small hole, almost like a cave on the side of the small cliff to the left of her. She stuck her head in the opening and tried to look around, but couldn’t see in the black of the cave. She entered the small cave and sat down. Her eyes drooping lower and lower, until she fell into a deep sleep.

She woke up to a bright brilliant sunlight shining into the cave. She stood up and hit her blonde head on the caves ceiling.

“Oww...that hurt!” She moaned in her strong British accent.

She emerged from the cave and looked around her. The sunlight allowed her to see the tall trees and tiny stream flowing through some rocks. She continued walking until she found some rich blue berries. She opened up her pouch and started to pick the berries off the bush.

“I’m not going to marry that annoying, perverted man! I will marry who I want to marry! His knights will not find me, nor will I give up and return to the castle!” She cried angrily, tossing the berries into her pouch with much force. “I am not going to be his ‘fair maiden’, or his so called wife!” She plucked a few more berries, squishing some in process. “Nor am I going to stay anywhere near that town! A bunch of pigs is what they are! A bunch of disgusting pigs!”

With that she sat down on a rock near the stream and began eating a hand full of berries from her over flowing bag.

“These are wonderful!” She marvelled in delight.

“Aren’t they though?” A strange voice said behind her.

“Who’s there?” She said turning around suddenly.

“My, my, my...Lily White. The beautiful and wealthy Lily. Not so glamorous now are you?” The young man greeted her rudely.

“Excuse me, but that is no way for a gentleman to greet a lady!” Lily snapped.

“I’m sorry Miss, but who said I was a gentleman?” He smirked as he stepped off a rock and sat down beside her.

“I can tell you are not one. But you can at least show some respect. Like introducing yourself?” She told him.

The young man got up and knelt down in front of her on one knee. He took her hand and kissed it. His shaggy brown hair sweeping the skin of her wrist.

“I am Chase Hembry.” He proudly informed her.

“Well, Chase Hembry. Tis a pleasure to make your, uh...acquaintance. Now may I ask what you’re doing out here in the woods?”

Chase got off his knee and rested back down beside her. He played with a twig he had picked up and snapped i in half gently, tossing it to the ground before her turned to look at Lily.

“The real question is, my fair lady,” Chase’s eyebrows lowered themselves over his clear blue eyes. “Why are you out here?”
