"Ah, so you are capable of language, did you not hear my first question?"

"I did... w-we're not friends, she's only here to take me to her boss... and I guess she thought I wasn't strong enough... So she left me behind," I explained, doing my best to avoid further eye contact. My throat was dry enough to stick to itself.

"How did that conclusion come about?" The slow silky pace of her voice was oddly satisfying.

"Because I couldn't manifest. Or because I moved too slow, I'm not fully sure actually... But I'd rather take my chances out here, instead of-"

"Leaving this place? Why would you believe that? If I wasn't the one to notice you, you'd be a puddle by now. We rarely get a chance to taste one of you anymore, but that thing on your face makes you too skimpy to share. - -Don't mistake luck for safety, you don't belong here."

Watching her lips as she talked, I could see her pointed teeth.

"Anymore!?" "I-"

"Show me," she demanded, nudging her head on my right shoulder.

I stared in a fixed confusion. "Huh?"

"Your manifestation technique. I'm interested to see how that bound husk can create something." She sat in front of me, patiently waiting for me to present my hand.

"Is this really happening?!" Putting my hand out, I extended my finger. I could still feel the shock from Zelle's previous assault. "Will she attack if I can't do this?"

"Hurry," she insisted, nudging her head to my arm until I lost balance.

I jumped as she made contact. Her silky fur was unbelievably soft.

"I'm actually not sure how to do it yet..."

"You haven't tried anything... Do you not feel the shift between yourself and this plain? I imagine it's unpleasant to you."

"Shift?"

"You are a soul, pure energy at this moment, which not only outputs its own frequency but can also interact and become susceptible to other energies and vibrations. This plain was created completely of its own frequency, and with no physical body to intercept the direct contact- -of the shift, it can be brash."

"No physical body!? Is she saying I'm really..."

"Place both your palms up and look to the sky."

I hesitantly followed her orders. "Why is everyone so fixated on this?!" My hands trembled.

"Your actions are derived from only fear, it hinders the comprehension you lack to perform simple task." Biting down, her canines slit through my flesh locking as they met each other.

I struggled to no avail, hardly budging her stone wall grip. "Is she holding me here for the others!?"

Her pupils vanished behind a veil of white light as she hummed a deep, continuous sigh. The vibration from its bass traveled up my arms and through my entire body.

"Huh?!" I opened my mouth to speak, only managing to push the air from my lungs. "What is this?!"

Wind breezed through my toes, carrying a deep chill up my body as I inhaled. The sensation shocked my nerves and engulfed me in paresthesia as a network of dark red veins slowly stretched from my feet to my head.

"I.."

My bodies composition felt like flowing water continuously washing over. The clay below sent a rapid, constant pulse that bounced it back up as it flowed to the soles of my feet, adding to the rough texture of the ground.
