The team and myself were called into the towers meeting room the second I got back from a mission. I was once told that hero's never sleep, now I'm starting to believe it.

When I entered the room, I must have been the last to arrive as everyone had already been seated except Tony who's speech I had just walked in the middle of. I said a quiet sorry as I sat down next to Natasha, she was one of the teammates I was closest to in the tower and therefore one of my closest friends.

"We will be having a new addition to the team arriving in the next few minutes..."
"Don't tell me you found another kid to recruit to the team Stark?!"
I couldn't help but laugh at Steve's remark, he was mostly serious when I was around but I liked when his sense of humor could emerge every so often.

"A couple of you have been briefed about the situation by myself and Fury but the whole team needs to know before they arrive, Loki will be joining us."

It seemed as all the air from the room was sucked out as I glanced to everyone. As I glanced at Natasha and Bruce, it seemed they already knew as they seemed the most calm out of everyone else. I was surprised Steve wasn't briefed first, he is the Captain after all.

That's when Thor arrived with a chained Loki following him into the room. I was not part of the Battle of New York but I had heard stories from the team. I always wondered what would have happened differently if I would have been there.

Thor greeted Tony while Loki looked around, and his eyes landed on me. His eyes were mesmerizing, a beautiful shade I do not think I could compare to any I had seen before.

"Now there will only be a few that will take turns watching over Loki to make sure he stays out of trouble and holds good on his new freedom. Those individuals will be Thor, Steve and myself, and lastly Nyx..."

"Oh whoa whoa whoa, you got the wrong girl!! I need to be out there helping you guys."
"I don't need babysitters let alone a girl watching over me!!" Loki chimed in after me.
"Careful Lowki, wouldn't want you to end up hurt when you have been with us for less than 5 minutes."
Loki growled at me as he said "firstly, that is not how you say my name. And secondly as if you could scare me."
"Oh trust me, you will be."
I turned my back and left the room, he wasn't my first stubborn god I had dealt within my many years of existence. Especially since I was a goddess myself.
