Tanjiro has just received a task from his crow, he ran into Zenitsu on the way and both slayers were on their way for Tsuzumi Mansion for a report that a demon was there. A member of the Twelve Kizuki was there. Or at least they thought..
They arrive at the mansion at dusk and find 2 children outside. They followed the demon here because they knew they wanted their older brother for his rare blood type.
"What happened?" Tanjiro asked the kids but they were to frightened to go and speak or let alone move, they were clinging on to each other like a koala bear clinging to a tree. It was clear the kids were terrified.
"O-Our older brother was kidnapped by the demons in that house.. We followed them here but we are to scared to go inside since we can't defend ourselves.." The boy said.
"What are your names?" Tanjiro asked the twins, "I'm Shoichi and this is my sister Teruko"
"Nice to meet you, I'm Tanjiro and That is Zenitsu, we are demon slayers, we will kill the demons in there and return your brother to you safely!" Tanjiro says while giving one of his signature smiles at the kids to reassure them that they are safe.
The kids cling onto them and they walk into the mansion, the doors shut immediately behind them, but they continue to move on ahead despite being freaked out.
They split up and Tanjiro encounters a demon while Zenitsu also decide to run into a room where he finds a boar. He screams before running and being chased by that boar he met less than a minute ago.
After a short while of running, the boar breaks through a wall and encounters Tanjiro and Kyougai. The room rotates and the slayers are no where close to killing him.
Total Breathing Concentration: Water Breathing: Ninth Form: Splashing Water Flow!
Tanjiro uses the water breathing to kill the demon and get both Kiyoshi and Teruko outside to find a beat up Zenitsu protecting the box where Nezuko is in.
"MOVE! THERE'S A DEMON IN THERE! LET ME KILL IT!" The boar yelled. "It's important to Tanjiro so I'm not letting you touch it until he gets back!"
"GET AWAY FROM MY LITTLE SISTER!" Tanjiro yelled, getting the attention of the wild boar who was to busy trying to slay Nezuko to care about what was happening.
The boar looked at Tanjiro to see him running with his head down like a ram in order to headbutt someone. They engaged in hand to hand combat for a little bit.
The latter stepped back a bit but it was too late, Tanjiro had already knocked the boar mask off his head.
"Let me tell you my name so you don't forget it, it's Inosuke Hashibira!" Inosuke yelled, "How do you spell that?!" Tanjiro asked, "It's on my Fundo-" Inosuke was cut off before his body fell to the floor, Tanjiro ran and picked him up.
"Is he okay?? He tried to kill Nezuko but I care about him even though I just met him.. But Zenitsu, even though you knew a demon was in the box, why did you protect it..?" Tanjiro asked Zenitsu,
"Because it's important to you.. "
"You really are a kind person.. Now let's treat his wounds and go inside to bury any dead bodies from those who were very sadly killed by the demons in this mansion!"
"Yeah!" Everyone said in sync.
And so everyone besides Inosuke who was on Tanjiro's back. When they finished burying the bodies, they bowed down and prayed for those who lost their lives on this tragic day.
And that's how their relationship begun.. the relationship between Mr. Boar and Mr. Earrings.
