As the girls walked in, unsure of what they were about to witness, they noticed that the entire town had ceased their celebration. When they finally entered the foyer, the three of them noticed a familiar sight. Abuela adorned the top of the stairs with the famous candle that they had all come to love, and the people of the town lined the pathway to the stairs.

MIRABEL: "What's happening? Who is this for? There is no one else in the Madrigal family who needs a ceremony."

DOLORES: "Mirabel... I think it's-"

CAMILO: "For you. It's your time to shine."

Mirabel reluctantly walked towards the pathway. Behind their curtains, the Madrigal family prepared a beautiful dress for Mirabel, lined with white ruffles and a delicately embroidered insignia of a gold butterfly at the top of her boddess. To top it off, Isabela pinned the right side of her hair back with a gold butterfly clip.

ISABELA: "You're ready."

MIRABEL: "I'm not really sure I can do this again."

ANTONIO: "I'll walk with you, just like when you were there for me."

Smiling at Antonio, the two of them made their way in front of the crowd, just like they had before. Mirabel took a deep breath and proceeded towards the stairs with Antonio. While walking, Mirabel thought back to her gift ceremony from when she was a young girl. The embodiment of excitement when she thought she was going to recieve her special power, and the important responsibilities she was going to be able to take on. She recalled how that excitement quickly faded as the door went away, and shuddered at the possibility that it could happen again.

The two reached the stairs just like they had before, but this time, it was up to Mirabel to fufil the conquest. Once again, she took a breath and started walking towards Abuela. She started feeling uneasy again, but once she looked around her and saw her family, she knew that everyone would be there for her this time. As she took the last step up, Abuela smiled, giving her all the confidence she needed. Just like before, Mirabel walked up to Abuela and touched the candle.

ABUELA: "I want you to know that whatever may come to pass from this, I will always be proud of your efforts to keep us, our family, and our gifts strong."

MIRABEL: "Thank you Abuela, I think I'm ready now."

ABUELA: "Then go. Meet your destiny Mirabel."

Mirabel proceeded to the door with hogh hopes again. This time, she closed her eyes and slowly moved her hand to touch the door. Once she grabbed the doorknob, her eyes fluttered open and she gasped, along with everyone else in attendance.
