Chat Noir
Adrien had been trying to push his fathers disappearance to the back of his mind for the past week- trying to convince himself that he would be fine and that he would return.

Knowing he was Shadowmoth didn't change how he felt about him- he was his father, he was all he had after all.

Well, not all.

Family came in all different forms. Now when he thought of family, a girl with dark pigtails and bluebell eyes popped into his head. She had been there for him more than anyone ever had- he would give anything and everything for her.

He glanced at the beautiful girl running next to him, her determined expression driving him to run even faster so.

"Let's check the Agreste mansion first. A smart place to hide him would be in his own house, because they would think it's the last place we'd look."

Chat nodded, running beside her.

They made it to the house, entering its signature lifeless, empty halls. "He would be hidden somewhere unexpected, somewhere many people don't know about. Do... Do you know of any?"

She blushed, and he looked around. "No, but I may know someone who does."

"I don't know anything Adrien- I swear."

"Give it up Lila I saw my father take you somewhere during the dinner party obviously you're involved."

"Why do you need to know?"

Adrien sighed. The girl was impossible. "I'm looking for my father. He's gone missing and I need to find him."

"Adrien, Adrien, Adrien. When will you learn? Your father is a cruel man. Honestly don't you think you'd be better without him?"

"How could you even say that? He's my father!"

She sighed impatiently, clearly over the conversation. "Adrien I dont know anything. Give it up. If I did know anything I'd report it to the police or something, maybe even Ladybug and Chat Noir. I may be a liar but I'm not cruel."

Adrien hung up. Waste of time.

"Well now it's confirmed even more that we can't rely on her. Ever."

"She reminds me of a dirty sock that smells so much it doesn't smell good anymore," Plagg said, sticking his tongue out in disgust.

"That's a little harsh. Mildly accurate though. Plagg, claws out!"

He left the room he was in, and met Ladybug back in the lobby. "No luck," he said, sitting down next to her.

She sighed. "He wasn't in the butterfly lair, any of the bedrooms, bathrooms, or kitchen."

He looked down and clenched his fists. The past week had been one of the most difficult in his whole life- but in a way one of the best. Without Shadowmoth, he could finally be with the girl of his dreams.

But without Shadowmoth, he didn't have a father.

"We can't give up yet, Chaton, there's so many other parts of the city that we haven't searched yet. He could be anywhere. I just really thought..."

Chat Noir looked down , until he remembered something. "Wait- I might know where he is."

Ladybug followed him into the dining room, until they were facing the large portrait of Emilie. "I'd bet anything that this is more than just a portrait. There's something behind it-" He faltered, remembering that she didn't know who he was. "I uh- I know because... of my ultra cat hyper vision."

Ladybug smiled softly, and he blushed. "Cataclysm!" The painting turned to dust, revealing shelves stocked with items, but before either of them could take in what was there a hole opened up in the floor and they fell through.

He grabbed Ladybugs hand as they fell, never wanting to let her go, before remembering they were superheroes and that his staff and her yoyo could easily break their fall. He grabbed her waist and extended his staff, bringing them safely to the ground. He forced himself to let go of her, and grinned when he noticed her face was as red as her costume.

She was so beautiful. He hated and loved that she distracted him so much. He was in the most stressful situation of his life and he forgot all about it with one look at her, it was impossible to focus with her in front of him.

Man, I love this girl. Marinette Agreste. Adrien Dupain-Cheng. Marinette Dupain-Agreste. Adrien Dupain-

"Chat Noir look!" Ladybug exclaimed, breaking him out of his fantasy. He looked to where she was pointing, and his face went white.

Two white glass coffin-like enclosures, holding-

"Mother? Father?"
