"General. The Commander wants to see you."
Eve fixed up her helmet, mentally preparing herself for her inevitable punishment as she went down the hall. She came up to the same room where Ridley gave her orders for their first mission together. She saw him, staring out into space, bandages wrapped around his arm and chest.
"You... wanted to see me, Commander?" She asked, walking up next to him. He stayed silent for only a moment, "...Why did you change your mind? What motivated you?" Eve looked out the window. "I'm... I'm not sure. Things just, happened. I saw you differently, and because of that, my plan ended up changing. I..." She tried to think of the right words, her hand gripping her arm cannon. "I wanted to see more of it. More of you." She looked up at him, "The you that, no one else sees."
Ridley sighed softly, "I... want the same thing with you." He turned towards her and met her gaze, a small smile on his face. "You saved my life, Eve." He continued, "In more ways than 1." Eve chuckled softly. "You know, you called me Evie back there." Ridley blushed, clearing his throat. "W-well!" He stuttered, "I uh, I thought it was a, cute nickname. I-I mean-" Eve gently grabbed his hand, her thumb caressing it.
"Maybe you could... call me that more often."
