Who would have told you that you had to move to Hackensack for your mother's job? For the first 16 years of your life, You lived in the same old town that you were born in.

That was, until M/n, a single and successful mother, decided to move down to Hackensack, you had no idea about its past, you just didn't want to come at all.

"Why do we have to move Mom? You whined when she first told you. "Because, I got a new job, I told you this a million times, M/n said."I promise, it's gonna help us a lot okay?"

"Hopefully, You muttered under your breath. If this was a chance to have a a fresh start then you might as well take advantage of it.

"Look, we are here, M/n said, pulling up to the house that looked nice-ish. You would have preferred to stay back in your old town but oh well.

"Hey Y/N, maybe there are kids your age in this neighborhood, M/n told you. You shrugged casually."I mean there might be a chance?"

She sighed, turning to you."I know you've never been the best at making friends but like I said this is a new start."

You nod. "And plus tomorrow when you start at your new school, you can socialize and make new friends, m/n suggested.

"Yeah I guess, you muttered, kind of annoyed with your life here. You hoped your mother wouldn't at least marry a new man.

Dad was her everything and when he died, it was super hard on her and you as well, but that didn't change a thing.

If anything, your bond became even closer with your mother. But when you moved here, it started to drift apart.

You exited your mother's car and looked around for a moment, this town didn't look so bad like you originally thought.

Hey, Maybe you did have a chance of making new friends here. "See y/n? It isn't that bad, M/n chuckled.

"I know, you're right I'm wrong, you do this a lot Mom."

You explored your house from the inside  for a little bit before going outside to  see if there were teens your age in this place.

You kind of doubted there was, until you accidentally bumped  into someone. "I am so sorry! You said.

"No, it's my fault, the boy said as you stood up to see what he looked like. "You look unfamiliar, are you new? He asked.
