Under the lights tonight || Park Jimin

"Hello?" I pressed the phone to my ear as I went out of the front of the restaurant.

"Hi Ana," Hye sighs, "How are you?"

"I'm fine," I lean against the building, "How are you?" I smile to myself.

"Well, what are you up to?" Hye asks hesitantly.

"I'm at lunch right now." I sigh, really wishing I was anywhere but here.

"Oh well, then I'll stop bothering you."

"No don't worry about that," I chuckle, "You actually saved me from the lunch."

"Not having a good time?" He jokes.

"Not at all. My friend dragged me here." I huff.

"Well, maybe I can be of some help," Hye pauses, "I can come to pick you up with a fake emergency that only you can help."

I grin, "That would be perfect. You really are the best."

"You'll have to come to work with me though."

"That's absolutely fine." I smile to myself.

"Alright just text me the address and I'll be on my way."

"Thank you." I hang up before heading back into the restaurant. The food had already been dropped off.

"There you are," Jimin smiles, pulling out my chair for me, "Everything alright?"

I don't sit down, "Sorry everyone I have to leave."

"What's wrong?" Stella looks up and looks worried.

"Hye is having an emergency I have to go," I force a fake frown, "I'm so sorry. Let me pay before I go." Jimin looks really upset at me, having to leave.

"I'll cover it." Stella waves me off, "I hope everything with him is okay."

"Yeah," I nod, "Sorry." I excuse myself again. I have to hold back my laughter as I walk out of the restaurant. I chuckle to myself, swaying side to side, waiting for Hye to pick me up. I don't know why I lied to Jimin but maybe I can finally get Jimin off my back. I just want Jimin to leave me alone, my life is hard enough already.

"Ana?" The voice comes from behind me.

I turn to see Jimin coming out of the building, "What do you want?"

"I came to see if everything is alright."

"I'm fine." I roll my eyes, "I'm waiting for Hye."

"Right," He nods, "Hye, your boyfriend."

"Yep." I nod and an awkward silence falls over us. I just want him to leave me alone. I feel bad lying to him about Hye being my boyfriend but I had no other choice, why won't Jimin just leave me alone?

"Do you have to leave?" Jimin pipes up, breaking the silence.

"I do." I nod.

"Why?"

"Hye needs me for something." I pause, "My boyfriend needs me."

"He's not your boyfriend..." Jimin says under his breath.

"What?" I turn my head to him.

"Hye isn't your boyfriend," Jimin rolls his eyes, "You and I both know it."

"Well, he is..." I trail off, trying to cover my lie which was falling apart.

"Whatever you say..." He laughs a little, "I don't think you got a boyfriend in the three days that we weren't together."
