Part 4

The next day

Luke's POV

I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock. I did not know my cousin Zoe fiddled with my bedside clock and turned on the alarm. As a morning ritual, the first thing I find the moment I wake up in the morning is my phone. I reached it as far as I could with my eyes closed only to know it wasn't on my bedside table. I rolled to the other side of the bed and found my phone underneath the pillow. When I checked my phone I saw two messages.

One from Ashley and one from Julia.

I first checked on my real girlfriend's text message:

"Good morning babe! Looking forward to see you today. Love you xx -Ashley"

Next, an unknown number:

"Hey idiot! community extension today. Pick me up at 7:30 am. I'll kill you if you don't show up -Julia"

Shit. I forgot I agreed on that monkey's deal. Ahhhh I shouldn't have kissed her so that I wasn't able to meet her and now I have to go to this boring community extension.

I got up from my bed, showered and got dressed. I went downstairs to eat breakfast alone since everybody in the house leaves at exactly  6:00 am to jog around the park. After I ate, I got my car keys and drove off to Julia's house.

A meter away I saw a car parked outside their house.

Julia's POV

"Juliaaa there's someone outside"

I was brushing my teeth when aunt Meg told me someone is outside waiting.That must be Luke.

"Okay, I'm coming down" I shouted as I gargle a mouthwash one last step before I leave for the day.

I grabbed my bag, looked on a mirror and went downstairs to put on my shoes.

"Uh-uh-uh Juls don't tell me you're not eating breakfast again" Aunt meg warned.

"I'm so sorry Auntie since someone is waiting for me I could not make that person wait for another 30 minutes." I said as I was in a hurry to lace up my brown converse shoes.

"Here I packed you apples and cookies just in case you'll get hungry" Lexie grabbed my blouse giving me a ziplock of apples and cookies before I could step out of the house.

"Aww my little sister is so sweet. thanks Lex love you" I accepted her packed snacks and kissed her on the cheek.

"Take care juls" Lexie's tiny voice remained on my mind as I walk my way towards the gate seeing a man holding a bouquet of red roses.

 It's Dexter again.

"How many times do I h—-" I yelled but Dex doesn't look aggressive or his usual self

"I'm really sorry....Um  I wonder if you could accept my peace offering?" Dexter said as he hands me the roses.

"Okay. thanks" I plainly said and stood up waiting for Luke to arrive.

"I should go" Dex said and went back to his car.

"Uh.. Dexter!" I exclaimed signaling him to not leave yet. "You can find someone else out there" I said and he just smiled and drove off.

After a minute Luke came by..

"What did that asshole do to you?" he said walking towards me.

"Nothing ...Why are you always late huh?" I whined as I walk past him standing a meter away from me and I got in his car.

"What? me always late? FYI this is the first time" Luke responsed as he jogs going to his car and drove off.

"Where are we going?" he said as drives his black sports car.
