Tock

"You're awake just in time." the dark figure walks towards me, his black outfit and mask being revealed as he gets closer.

"Just in time for what?" I ask, confusion overwhelming my small body.

"For the dinner party."

"What are you talking about?"

"The finalists get to celebrate, you see. For making it this far."

"Then why am I not there?"

"Because you didn't make it through the last game before the timer ran out."

"Why haven't you killed me then?" I ask, sitting up for the bed as I notice all the dressing covering my body. I looked like a human bandage, with not much skin showing between each plaster.

"I thought we established this before, Sun-Hi. You're not going to die during this game. Instead, you can watch your precious friends through their last moments."

"What the actual fuck is wrong with you?" I glare at him as he walks closer to me.

"Nothing."

"You are a monster."

"I'm no less of a monster than you are yourself. We're all monsters, just some of us let them show more than others."

"Some monsters go to hell. But the devil will be disgraced by you and send you to a place far worse than hell."

"Cute."

"I want to leave."

"You can go."

"What's the catch?"

"You'll never see them again." he points to the screen where I see Sae, Gi-Hun and Sang-Woo. I stare at them, trying to think of a way to get out of here with them.

"If I was to kill you, what would happen?"

"You would be killed by the guards."

"Are you sure about that? They seem pretty scared of you. I bet that if I was to kill you, they'd all flee from this shithole, leaving us all behind."

"You doubt their loyalty?"

"Congratulations! You got something correct!" I clap my hands, stopping when pain shoots up my arms. "I do doubt their loyalty because I don't think there is a single person on this planet who would voluntarily serve you with full loyalty. And if they started, they would stop trusting you pretty soon."

"You've thought about this in quite detail."

"Yes. I've thought about how victorious it would be to watch your body drop to the ground as you keel over in pain. I want to watch you cry like a fucking baby as you hold onto your life with every ounce of energy. I want to watch the life drain out of you. I want to watch you suffer."

"And you call me a monster." he chuckles "I may be a monster, but you're a pure psychopath."

"Thank you." I smile.

We stare at each other in silence, waiting for the other person to speak up.

"What's your blood type?" I ask and he looks at me, tilting his head at the question.

"Why does it matter?"

"Because I want to hurt you without killing you. Knowing your blood type would mean that if you lose blood, I can make sure there's enough blood in your system so that I can continue to torture your sorry ass until I'm ready to kill you." I smile.

"That's why I'm not telling you."

"Are you single?"

"Why do you care?"

"Because I want to kill you. And I just want to laugh when I find out you have no one and that you'll die alone with no one to care about you."

"I never said I was alone."

"You never said you weren't either. I bet you live with cats at home and pick on them so much that they just leave."

He doesn't say anything else, just staring at me as he sits in a chair next to the bed I was in.

"Any kids?"

"No."

"That's not a surprise. You're too rude to be loved." I scoff, flicking my hair back dramatically.

"Says the girl dating Ms. Kang Sae-Byeok."

"I thought you didn't know our names."

"I didn't, but I did my research."

"Stalker"

He laughs as he scratches the back of his neck slightly.

"I bet you're an old man who gets turned on by other people's suffering."

"Excuse me?"

"You are an old man! You're already going deaf."

"Now you're insulting deaf people."

"I'm not insulting deaf people because they're much smarter than you. They are good for this world, unlike you."

He shakes his head, leaning back against the chair.

"You know, you could be just some dumbass who doesn't understand the concept of life. Like you could be a fucking idiot and that's why you're hosting these games."

"You like to think I am, so it doesn't matter what I say."

"You're right. You know. Since you won't let me participate, we should play a game."

"A game?"

I nod my head with a smirk "You claim to know everything about me, right? So how about we play a quiz-like game. You have to get the right answer to the questions I'll ask you about myself. Every time you get a question right, you get a point. But if you get it wrong, I get a point. Whoever has more points, in the end, wins and will get something of their choosing."

"That's quite the variety of prizes."

"I'm fine with it. Do you want to play?" I ask, holding out my hand towards him. He nods, shaking my hand with a nod.

"When do we start?" He asks, and I can feel his smirk from the other side of his mask.

"Right now."

⎯⎯⎯⎯

So just in case you guys couldn't tell, this is Sun-Hi's POV.

I have been trying to update, but I've been trying to come up with new ideas for this story specifically. I've been having a bit of writer's block for this story, which is why I've been updating others instead of Pretty Flower.

I hope you're all still enjoying and I hope you enjoy future chapters and stories

Also, this isn't mandatory, but if you do enjoy Pretty Flower, don't forget to vote and comment or follow me for future fanfics like this. I am open to any concept and I would love to hear feedback about Pretty Flower and any other stories. I would also love to hear about books you guys would be interested in reading too.
