Learning I'm a demigod

Midnight swim

That night I couldn't sleep. Violet snores like a dying roaring lion.

I jolt up and slip out of bed. I put on sandals. I cautiously walk towards the door so I don't wake people up.

I close the door and walk towards the beach. The full moon leads my way through the night. It is really dark and the light of the moon guides me.

As I get towards the shore I take off my shoes and walk into the water. The cold of the water on my feet refreshes me.

I walk father and father into the water until it's up to my waist. I stand there for a few seconds and dive into the cold water.

I see some animals sleeping. I see some fish swimming around. I watch as the group of fish swim around the the seaweed and coral. The water glistens from the moonlight.

In the corner of my eye I see movement. I turn around to see some sort of creature. It's a swimming cow. I try to speak to it.

"Hi. What is your name?"
"Bob." Oh god it's a boy. Gasp.
"Abby."
"I'm very hungry go you have any grass?" That is a weird question. but ever since I've been here everything has been weird.

"No but I can get some." I come out of the water and I'm not even dripping wet. What the... How can I stay underwater for so long? Guess it's the perks of being a demigod.

I pluck some grass and dive back into the water. She eats and the sun starts to come up. THE SUN STARTS TO COME UP!

"Oh gods. See you later Bob" I run out of the water and my shoes. I run to the cabin but at the front door I see Skylar.

"Hi." I say through gritted teeth and don't make eye contact.
"Hi so I came over to show you how to sword fight but here I was and you weren't here. Let me guess couldn't sleep?"

"How did you know?"
"Everyone has the same problem. But I've never heard of going out on a midnight swim."

"Get changed." she points to the door. I trudge in and change into some clothes. (A/N: Her outfit is on top.)

Together we walk to armory so she can teach me all sword fighting and stuff.
