Gravity Falls: Dream Fairy *Chapter 1*

Chapter 1:
              Welcome to Gravity Falls

My name is Marielle Riviera. You can call me Maria or Mari. Rarely anyone said the latter, but if your fine with it, go on ahead.

The girl sitting beside me is Annie. She's my classmate. She and I are kind of close, same for my other classmates.

We've just landed in Orlando, Florida to go to a special museum that has paintings that look so real, it looks like you're looking through a window. Why we're going there? We kinda got invited there by one of my friends who works here.

As I began to sit up, a scream causes Annie and I to jump and scream in shock. A laugh erupted behind us. "Ha ha, very funny Jose." Annie said, her voice laced with sarcasm. That caused him to laugh loudly, earning glares from almost everyone in the aircraft, which is still waiting to park. I sat up a bit taller and gave him a death stare through the available space between us. My face then switched itself to one of annoyance while holding that death glare. That effectively made him shut up. "Hehehehe... That's what you get for scaring us..." I said in a deep tone, which seems to scare him. He flinched in his seat and kept quiet. I them smiled cutely and silently chuckled. I sat back down properly in my seat and buckled back on before the plane even moved again and I rubbed what remains of my nauseous feeling. "Tired?" I hear a deeper male voice that came from the left side, ask me.

That's my teacher, Mr. Sohta. No, not the one from Misao, if you're into that horror game. He's nice, smart, caring and most importantly, protective, like me. He knows everything from around the world and has a lot of traveling experience. He thought that the best way to learn is to go there ourselves, as long as we behaved ourselves of course.

He looked at me seriously and I shook my head slowly with a small smile on my face. "Nah, just the jet lag." I admitted. Dizziness was slowly setting on me, but because of Jose's little scare, I'm almost wide awake. I don't know why he tries to scare me often though, probably to keep me on my toes. I smiled as a plan formulated in my head. But I soon shake it off. I want to enjoy this while we're around.

The bus ride from the airport to the museum is a lot of fun we all played games and the driver was kind enough to let us do so since he's completely ok with us after I befriended him. That's right. I forgot to mention this little detail. The governments from all around the world know of me for a reason, so they made sure that I have a lot of fun with my class. They all cheered and danced as the music started blasting loudly. I just sat down in my seat and looked out to the forestry around us. I smiled... Until I suddenly spotted a stop sign.

Wait a minuet... "Teacher...?" I asked in my normally loud tone. This caught his attention and the driver stopped before he paused the music, causing the others to whine. "You see something?" He asked me as he sits beside me and I nodded, nervousness setting in. I took a deep breath and sighed. "... I saw a stop sign that's out of place..." I told him. His eyes widened. "This far off the road?" The driver asked me as the bus was parked at the side where the stop sign would be. I just nodded. "It doesn't look too old, but that's not what worries me..." I said. The others gulped. "I saw the words, "Welcome to Gravity Falls" or something. And that place doesn't exist on any maps..." I said. Everyone was silent... Suddenly, the buss backed up on its own and drove us in the road that branches off. We all looked at the driver's seat and I see a white car at the corner of the frame. "STOP HERE!!!" I suddenly yelled out and the driver halted almost immediately. The doors opened and all of us quickly exit the bus. I ran to the only person I know would be here. My suspicions were confirmed when I see a man dressed in a black suit, white dress shirt, black shoes and a black bow-tie. I ran towards him immediately and stopped halfway. "Inspector!" I yelled out. His head soon turned to me and smiled. "Maria! Is that you?!" He called out as he slowly approached me. I soon walked towards him at the same time before I ran and tackled him to a hug.
