Arina came to her senses in a cave, diligently covered with a sturdy wool blanket that seemed to have come from nowhere. From where she lay, she could see a fire and a wide entrance.

Kakashi was sitting next to her, and she just managed to notice how the expression of concern on his face had been replaced with obvious relief. She pointed out unintentionally that it was really amazing how, with an almost completely hidden face, the visible part of it managed to express so many emotions. When he had them, that was, because he seemed rather phlegmatic to her in general. She had an urgent desire to look under his mask again. He couldn't not take it off at all, could he?

Yeah —  she thought ironically —  exactly the very thing a person in my position should think about. Although, why not, just to be distracted...

The man was not wearing his vest again, but this time he also took off his headband. At the same time, he still looked with only one eye — the left eye, split by the scar, was deliberately shut. A thick silvery crop of hair fell freely over his forehead and bristled up at the back daringly. This way he seemed much younger, although the exact age was still difficult to determine because of the mask — or, rather, as it turned out, the elongated collar of a kind of a turtleneck.

Arina realized that at first she was most likely confused by the colour of his hair, which made the man seem older in her perception. However, she herself had practically white hair too — unlike the dark hair she had before, in her 'earthly' life — from which it could be concluded that such a colour here was not an indicator of age and, most likely, not uncommon either. In reality, Kakashi was clearly not much older than herself.

"You're awake?" he clarified for some reason, and without waiting for an answer, continued, agitated. "Good... Listen... I understand that you are probably already sick of this, but I really need to take care of your wound."

Arina realised herself that it was not worth further ignoring what was in her chest area, so she suppressed the usual desire to cover herself with her hands and instead closed her eyes with resignation.

Correctly interpreting this wordless consent, Kakashi briefly went to the fire, returned with a small bowl of water. As it turned out, the rest was also ready. He was obviously either waiting for her to wake up — or even was going to act up again, and she came to her senses just in time. This realisation made Arina feel uneasy again for a moment. It's rather unpleasant to be unconscious and have no idea what is being done to you at that very moment...

Arina reluctantly pulled off the blanket from her chest and Kakashi's anxiety became more understandable: the blood stain on her clothes was noticeably larger.

And I also stained his entire vest, the girl thought guiltily.

"Ideally you need to undress to the waist," Kakashi drawled, ruffling his hair in embarrassment, but then Arina resolutely protested.
