It was a peaceful day in Ninjago City. People going about their day to help rebuild the damage caused by the now captured Sons of Garmadon. The sounds of hammers pounding on nails echoed in his ears as a familiar blond-headed boy walked down the busy streets. The ninja were more than happy to help with the repairs but today was the first time Lloyd got some time off.

He had a lot planned for today. Like lying down and taking a longer nap than usual or sitting around while playing video games and snacking on the leftover pizza the team had for dinner the night before. Although, now that he's thought about it, it sounds more like what the other ninja would do.

He chuckled to himself at the thought of actually getting to relax. The city always needed him—not a day went by when he wasn't helping out someone else—which is why a call from the Police commissioner on a Saturday morning was definitely not a surprise.

Lloyd walked up the familiar steps of the police station—a place he came to often for missions and emergencies of the city—and pushed open the front doors.

"Good morning, Green Ninja." Said Jimmy.

"Hey, Lloyd!" Exclaimed another officer.

"Morning, Lloyd." Greeted the men at the front desk.

He was greeted by more officers and workers as he walked past them but didn't fail to return it with the same enthusiasm. When Lloyd reached the door which had the sign Police Commissioner glued on the door, something didn't feel right.

A feeling in his gut told him there was something going on, and he trusted it enough to brace himself as he opened the door. "Commissioner?" He stuck his head through the small opening he made. "You wanted to see me?"

"Lloyd! Thank goodness." The Police Commissioner seemed relived at his presence. Although it was a common reaction among the people, his relief only raised questions to the Green Ninja. "We must hurry."

"What? Why?" Lloyd grew more confused as the Police Commissioner pushed past him and with a quick turn of his key, locked the door to his office.

The man froze, as if he wasn't sure how to voice out what he wanted to say. "I think it's best you see for yourself." He walked down the hall and Lloyd took it as a sign to follow him.

The drive to Kryptarium Prison was long and quiet, except for the wailing sirens on top of the car they rode, which was not helpful for Lloyd's running thoughts. He'd dealt with disturbances at the prison before but if it was a simple riot, the commissioner would have told him.

That was enough clue for the Green Ninja to know he was right to be worried. He wanted to ask but every time he opened his mouth to speak, he closed it again. The police Commissioner didn't seem to be open to entertain any questions so Lloyd decided to keep his mouth shut and wait.

"Good morning, Warden." The Police Commissioner nodded his head in acknowledgement to the man who stood outside the prison doors, waiting for them.

"We didn't know what to do anymore! Thank goodness we had nurses present." The man had a look of horror in his eyes as if he had seen something that would sure haunt his mind for years.

Lloyd shut the car door of the passenger side and turned his attention to the two men in front of him. "Is everything okay? What happened?" He got no response. "Commissioner, what's going on?"

"Come see for yourself, Son." People were fond of telling him that today.

The Warden knocked on the metal doors behind him and within a second, it opened under his command. They walked down a narrow corridor–the same one Lloyd knew led to the center of the prison–where the lights were dim and the defenses were deactivated.
