Chapter One

The hunt

Dale laid in the bed as the rest of the Cullen’s tried to figure out how Dale’s new powers worked , Carlisle looked at where Dale laid and said “ Most of our powers come from what we are.”

Bella looked at the empty looking bed and said “Well Dale is funny and knows how to fight.”

Esme replied “But why can’t we see him?”

Then Jasper said, “Well we are missing something, Dale knows how to fight but what is he?”

Alice replied “A Vampire, now.”

Bella thought about it, it suddenly hit her, and she said, “He is partly trained as a Ninja.”

Alice could not see how that could matter she said “But just because he was taught how to fight like that why would he disappear?”

Bella started to think about all that Dale had said about what Ninja’s did, but she couldn’t remember all of it, then she turned to Dale and asked “ Dale what does a Ninja do again?”

Dale replied “Well in ancient Japan a Ninja was kind of a covert agent of sorts used for espionage, sabotage, infiltration and assassination, why?”

Bella thought about it a little longer then looked at Carlisle and said one word “Covert!”

Then she asked Dale “When you were attacking the Vampire hunters how were you hiding from them?”

Dale could not believe Bella I mean how many time did he have to tell her he said, “A ninja is master of whatever is around him he tries to blend in to the environment.”

Bella replied, “Right isn’t that what you are doing right now?”

In addition, Dale suddenly realized she was right he was doing just that without thinking about it. And another thing he figure out he was doing was breathing shallow like when he would hide, he took a deep breath and let the air fill his lungs and then let it out and suddenly he reappeared. He replied, “Whoa, it’s like stealth mode.”

Emmett smiled and said, “That is so cool to be able to do that.”

Dale looked around and everyone looked worried so he thought to put them at ease maybe he better tell them what he does before he does it, so he looked at Carlisle and said “ Ok, I think I will try to get on my feet.”

In addition, when he said that Jasper looked ready for an attack, then Dale said “Nobody panic this is not a hostile act.”

So Dale slowly sat up, next he moved one foot slowly off the bed and then the other one. Once he did that, he was in a sitting position on the bed, Suddenly Dale felt a little dizzy, but he was determined to get on his feet. He took both hands and placed them on either side of him and pushed himself up but he wasn’t used to his new strong arms and ending up pushing a little hard sending up a little bit hitting the wall and falling on the floor. With a Thump! Jasper backed Alice up thinking Dale was going to attack, Bella was laughing at what happened. Esme was right next to Dale, bent over to help him up, and said, “Are you ok?”

Dale wasn’t hurt which was a first usually when he did that before it hurt a little but he kept forgetting he was a Vampire now and little things like that won’t hurt him, he looked up at Esme and said “Whoa, I guess my arms are a little stronger than before, this is going to take getting used to.”
