In almost every fairy-tale that every young girl wants to live in, the princess is a graceful character who is in some sort of torturous situation which she escapes by being who she is and the prince comes to save her living happily ever after. If only that was my case, the life that was living in. Allow me to formally introduce myself, my name is Princess Zara Cordellia Scott, I am the princess and heiress of Sirach, a country right next to England. Yes, I live in a castle, I attend fancy balls and galas with other heiresses to the thrones in other countries. I'll admit, some of them are decent looking in which me, the classy princess, takes them up to my room where I screw them and then I return downstairs and have my cordial dance with them as if nothing ever happened. As lavish and lush as my life may sound, I have always wanted to me normal and enjoy normal people's company. All of my life, a whole 17 years, I have been forced to be perfect, but what I really am is a troubled, rebellious mess, at least that's what my therapist calls me.

It was a typical Friday, consisting of me being completely and utterly hung over after a nice Thirsty Thursday party that I had thrown for myself. Some pounding on my doors had woken me up. I help my head and moaned. "Zara, it's time to wake up. You have a new bodyguard coming in one hour promptly." Sara, my family's manager and behavioral expert said. Sara has been working for my family forever, and she has truly seen it all and has saved my family from falling through the royal cracks. If it wasn't for Sara and her team we would all be a disaster, but for now, the only disaster that has to be fixed is me.  As the hard, wooden door shut behind me I pushed the white, plush covers off of me. I wiped my excess eye makeup off. I fluffed my curls from last night back into my hair as I walked into the dining hall sitting across from my father. I heard the sharp breaths taken in by our staff. They must be new, I thought. All I wore down to breakfast was a pair of lace cheeksters, a flannel shirt, and some knee socks. "Good morning Zara Cordellia."
"Morning father." I sighed taking a seat. At the long, rectangle table sat my father, Sara, and usually other important members of parliament sat there as well, and if they were here this morning Sara would have made sure to force me into a dress and clean me up so that the other members of government from other countries would believe there were no problems. Not that meeting members of government has been all bad, I've met all of my other dysfunctional friends as well, who you'll all get to meet later on tonight. Constince, our main service woman approached me, "Hello Princess Zara Cordellia Scott, may I offer you some pancakes with fresh fruit this morning, or something else perhaps." Her voice was always so shaky when she spoke to me, it kind of bothered me, mostly because I was usually hung over.
"Ya know Constince, I would have you bring me some breakfast, but I'm still pretty hungover from last night, so some liquid tar or coffee would be preferred." I moaned closing my eyes and holding my head into my hands.
"Cordellia Scott, I propose you eat something before we leave for your meeting today, understand." Sara said firmly, taking her attention off of some paperwork that she and my father were working on and scolded me.

After the delightful breakfast I had, I went back into my room and began to get dressed. Sara picked out a floral dress and some riding boots that made me look like a polite princess, completely unlike the rebellious one I truly am. I walked into the office with Sara to see a bunch of men lined up and seated. Some approached me in a cordial manner making me want to barf, I even rolled my eyes and pulled my hands away from some of them until Sara gave me the death stare. The first couple of men had been in their late 50's and freaked me out, so I dismissed them. The next round was the 40's, then 30's, then 18-20's, my favorite category. "Thank you all for coming today, sorry for the long wait." Sara began, but was soon interrupted by her phone ringing, it was my father so she left me to interview the rest of the bodyguards with the other assistant Lauren who was scared of me. I told Lauren just to wait outside as I interviewed the last perspective bodyguard. "Hello." I greeted.
"Hello, Princess Zara Cordellia Scott, it's a pleasure to meet you."
"Right." I huffed looking over his resume, he had attended Bryant Boarding school and was now studying at University. "So, you want to be my new bodyguard huh?"
"Well, yes. See after University, I'm hoping to work in parliament, so I decided to apply for a job as your bodyguard and-"
"Oh please, Luke is it, that's enough. I don't need to hear your lame story." I stood up from behind the desk and walked over to Luke grabbing the back of his head and ghosting my lips over his, making his blue eyes stare straight into mine. "Do you think I'm pretty?" I asked making him twitch, I knew I had made him uncomfortable, that's what I'm best at.
"Yes, and I think that one day you'll make a great Queen as well as Sir. Charles Winston a King." Luke said in a tone that almost sounded overly enthusiastic.
"Oh dear God, do you know why they want to hire you Lucas? Partially it's to protect me but it's also to babysit me. You see, my father King Henry Bernard Scott thinks that I'm spiraling out of control." I stopped talking for a moment and lit a cigarette and again I could see the discomfort in Luke's face. "My friends and I, you know the other heiresses like Creed's, and Francesca Xavier as well as the soon to be king of England Charles Winston all do things that should get us into trouble, but don't because we are who we are. See, for a common boy like you, if you were caught at a party doing a line of cocaine or smoking pot, you would be in major trouble. See that's when father drew the line. I had finally gotten what I deserved at a party, drinking illegally when the police found me passed out drunk. He thinks that it's bad for my image, so the next morning when I woke up, which is this morning, I did a line of cocaine, had a shot or two of burbon, smoked a joint, and I am now on my third cigarette. I bring random men home, and to be blunt I have the sex life of a 30 year old woman who is a porn star, even though I'm dating Charles, he has calmed me down a bit. I rarely ever go to school nor do I ever feel the need to wear clothes. I will make you uncomfortable and try to sleep with you, and I mean look at you, you're gorgeous and I bet you have a huge 'endowment', if you know what I mean. So if none of what I just told you frightens you in any way, congratulations sire, you have the job, but if you don't think you can handle me, or please me in more than one manner, than by all means, seek your way out."
