"It can't be" panicked Charlotte. Her mother turned around and finally noticed her daughter with a face of shock looking at her. "Ch-Charlotte! Your awake!" said her mother. "I-I have cancer, don't I?" said Charlotte calmly. The doctor replied in a monotone voice " I bet you heard the entire conversation, right?", "Yes, I did" said Charlotte. "You will have to stay in the hospital so we can monitor your health." the doctor said before leaving Charlotte and her mother alone.
Lillian was starting to worry as days went by. "Where is she?!" thought Lillian. " Do any of you know where Charlotte is?!" screamed Lillian at her two "best friends". "W-Well from the rumors," whimpered Viviane," She-She's in the ho-hospital. Please don't scream at ME!". Lillian looked down at the ground and stood there for a couple of minutes, until she crumpled to her knees. Cries and wails of despair started to come out, a shocking and bizarre scene for the entire school. The Lillian Ivanov on her KNEES? And CRYING? It was too shock inducing to be true! But there she was doing exactly that. Thoughts started to race in Lillian's mind. "Charlotte in the hospital? NO! NO!NO!NO! It can't be true!," Lillian's eyes shaked "I-I was j-just trying to get rid of the feeling. I didn't mean for this to happen. I didn't mean this. I didn't mean this! I DIDN'T MEAN THIS!". She sat there rocking with her hands on her knees. Lillian never mean for this to happen. All she wanted to do was get rid of the feeling. The feeling brought butterflies in her stomach, a sensation of flying whenever she saw Charlotte. But she can't love another girl right? She was supposed to marry and have children. But this feeling never came upon her for any OTHER girl so why? Why Charlotte? Lillian knew her father would kill her if he ever found out. But she couldn't fight this feeling anymore. Like a thousand storms stuck in a bottle it was starting to leak out, all the emotions that she kept hidden for so long. So Lillian decided to visit Charlotte the next day. Lillian got dressed and headed to start her car up and drove to the hospital. She had practiced what to say every situation. She walked into the hospital with gifts and chocolates. Headed up to the room and entered. There was Charlotte on the bed, her long black hair now starting to thin, turning into a light gray. Her eyes were sunk into her sockets and it looked like all the happiness was drained from her face. "Ch-Charlotte?" sais Lillian as she looks on in horror at the once healthy girl.
"Hmm? L-Lillian? Why are you here?" said Charlotte as she stares with her blank eyes.
"W-What happened to you?" whimpered Lillian. But even though Charlotte looked a tad bit different she was still the same Charlotte, the one Lillian fell in love with. "I got some gifts for you and I also came here to say something." Lillian said.
"Could you come a bit closer? I can't hear very well." said Charlotte.
"W-Well," said Lillian as she stepped closer to the bed," I wanted to apologize for bullying you a-and I hope we can be friends.".
"Of course, I forgive you! Could I have a hug?" said Charlotte with a big smile on her face.
That smile made Lillian's heart warm up and she went in for the hug. "I will visit you every single day!" beamed Lillian.
