Just friends.. right?

"Riley!" Yelled Julia with excitement

"ugh.. what" said Riley

"Are you going to the park with me today?"Julia asked excitedly.

"Yes you've asked me every single day leading up to today Julia and every time I've answered yes so obviously I'm going"Riley said in a rude tone. "sorry geez." Sighed Julia.

"Riley! There you are!"Yelled Julia, "I've been looking for you everywhere"

"I've been here waiting for you Julia" said Riley. "Ugh" thought Riley, "i want to tell her but i don't know how to"

"Hello!? Earth to Riley! Are you alive?" Julia exclaimed.

"Oh sorry guess I zoned out " said Riley snapping out of it.

Julia and Riley are best friends they've known each other since they were in kindergarten, they are inseparable their parents have always wondered how their relationship is so good because they've ever had a fight other than once when they were at the water park and Riley wanted Julia to go first down a slide but Julia wanted Riley to go first down the slide and then they fought until so many that people complained so they got kicked out and so, their problem was solved.

They were at the park with the rusty old carousel, and where the old abandoned mini theme park was. The little old theme park was abandoned when their parents were kids.

Julia had always wanted to go in the little park but Riley wouldn't let her in because Riley keeps her and Julia out of trouble because Julia is a bit of a trouble maker but will listen to Riley.

So if you remember Riley has something she is hiding from Julia that she wants to tell Julia about..well.... Riley has a crush on Julia.. She has since 5th grade and now they're in 9thgrade and Riley still doesn't know how to tell Julia, I mean she has known Julia since kindergarten and she thinks if she tells her that it will ruin their friendship. And plus Julia has a crush on this boy named Royland he's the

'Cool' kid every single girl in school has a crush on him except Riley Costello the 'weird' girl. Everybody thinks that Riley is weird because she is the only girl that isn't crushing on Royland. Some people even make fun of her by calling her gay because they don't know that she actually is gay.

3 months later

Not much has changed in the last three months for Riley and Julia other than the fact that Royland played Julia and broke her heart, Riley however was there for Julia the whole time, but that was 2 months ago. Julia didn't really notice it but she had caught feelings for Riley and didn't know what to do so she left it alone.

Riley texted Julia

"hey Julia, you there?"

"Yep. You need something Riley?"

"No i just wanted to know if you wanted to hang out with me"

"Yeah sure. My house or yours?"

"Mine"

"Ok. Be there in 2".

2 minutes later

"Knock knock" Riley heard at the door. "Be there in a sec" she yelled.

She opened the door and it was Julia, "come in" she said in a very polite tone.

Julia stared at her in confusion "what?" Asked Riley

"Are you okay? You were so polite it so unusual" Julia said worriedly

"Yeah I'm fine Julia don't worry" Riley said quietly
