"So, how's work going?"
"Same old, same old."
"Is everyone still obsessed with you?"
"Ahh, Hyunbeol, you know no one can resist me."
I grinned as Minho smirked and took another slurp of his ramen.
"I know."
This was fun. Having a chat with Minho over ramen at our favourite restaurant. It felt like ages since we last just...talked. I'd been missing him lately. I told him as much.
"Hehe, even you can't help loving me." He chuckled. I looked down at my food, stabbing a pork slice.
"Eh, training's been tougher than usual." Minho's triumphant face dropped slightly.
"That's just because you're going to debut soon, -beol." He put a hand over my left one that rested on the table, rubbing his thumb over the back. "Once you do, it'll feel really easy. I promise." I looked up at him.
"Stop being cheesy, Min-. It doesn't suit you."
Minho roared with laughter, pinching my cheek.
"You're so mean. Did I teach you that?" I nodded, and he chuckled again, turning his attention back to his food.
Minho was always a bit of a foodie. Ever since we'd met when we were six, our love of kimchi was what had gotten us talking to each other.
"You've been holding out pretty well, I'll give you that." He murmured, gathering more noodles with his ladle spoon.
"Huh?" I asked, taking a gulp of water.
"It's been three years, -beol. Three years is a long time to wait when your friend has already debuted."
"Well, I'm not waiting that much longer, am I?"
"Ooo tell me the story of your 'trainee hardships' again."
"Oh shut up!"
"I've been trying to write a song worthy of an amazing debut, so I went and talked to other trainees for inspiration. Most told me I should just wait for JYP to just give me a song, but then I wouldn't like it as much, so I kept on looking.
"I'm thinking a sexy theme. That would get attention. And most girl idols right now are debuting with cute themes, so I would stand out even more. But, maybe not too sexy - I'm not that confident about my body. What do you think, Min-?"
Minho swallowed the last of his pork and ramen, before putting a finger to his chin.
"Mmmmmmm. Ask your supporters."
"...What?"
"You know, have a v-live."
"I thought we weren't allowed to discuss music with them?" I asked, puzzled.
"Yeah, but everyone does it anyway." Minho winked, and I bit my lip.
"Okay." I gave in. "I'll think about it."
"Good!" He nodded, smiling, "And when you do it, I'll be watchingggg."
