Chapter 11- I serve for you

Amy went to her room to rest. She finds it hard to walk with one leg and it is exhausting. If that knight who kicked her horse be a man and didn't got afraid of a woman winning over him, this wouldn't happen.

'Today was exhausting' she said jumping on her bed and slowly closing her eyes. At the very exhausting moment, she didn't realize that she fell asleep.

"Victor!"

"Yes, Sir!"

"Find the knight who cheated on the race today!" he was so angry of what happened in the face today, and thinking that that knight tried to harm her made his blood boil.

Victor the butler urgently went to the door and Lady Cameron heard Phoenix's order.

"Whose finding who?" She said with a bland smile.

"It's not your business." Phoenix answered and Victor went outside.

"Oh come on, after not seeing me for two days that's the attitude you will give me?" Phoenix just brought his eyes to his documents. Lady Cameron's words were just entering his ears and coming out on the other side.

After some time, she left without talking to him. Phoenix don't really care about her, he can keep ignoring her if he wants to. He can finally sip his tea peacefully, as there is no more additional problem in front of him.

Victor came and report to him.

"Sir Adelard, Sir Dixon helped me to find the knight who cheated on the race today. It seems like he was a new recruit in Phoenix Elite, and according to his subordinates, he was really a stubborn man." said the grey haired man.

"Brought him to me when Ms. Eve's ankle got better and punished him according to her."

"Yes, Sir Adelard."

'It's already dark outside, I'm sure everyone was having their dinner' she thought while staring at her window. She slept continuously without minding that it's already dark outside.

'I don't even have an appetite'

Tok! Tok! Tok!

Someone knocked at her door. She slowly got up from her bed and took her time to open the door as her ankle hurts.

"Who...?"

"Ah, Ms. Eve...someone sent this food to your room and said that you don't have to go to the dining area so that you can rest." The young girl servant said while holding a tray with tender meat, pumpkin soup and a soft bread.

Her eyes widened in shock and confusion but she still accept it. Who would give a tray of food to a mere woman like her?

"M-my name is Anna Ms. Eve"

"Thankyou Anna...but, who ordered you to send me this?"
She asked as she was receiving the tray.

"Ahm...sorry Ms. Eve but, he ordered me not to tell you his name."

Amy just smiled at her and enter her room as she understand the young girl that if she tells her who sent the food, she will be punished.

'He? Is it Daniel?'

She immediately erase the thought and just put the tray in her table. She don't really have an appetite due to her ankle and because of the race she didn't even win. It is a big deal for her as it is her first competition in Citadel. She went back to her bed and suddenly thought of Phoenix.

'What kind of man he is?'

She was sure that even if he was cold outside, there was a reason behind his coldness expression. After a while of thinking, she fell asleep again.

When she woke up, she headed first to Devon to check her ankle and change the bandage.

"Oh, Eve you came." He said with a teasing smile on his face.

"Right, because I don't wanna struggle by myself by changing it."

They both laughed and he began to change her bandage.

"It's done. I should be going to the training area."

"You'll practice? Your ankle might get worse."

"Nah, It's fine. Since I only practice using my hands."

"Oh right! but don't pressure yourself too much."

While walking towards the training area, she felt like her ankle got more better than yesterday but, she's still walking unbalanced. Daniel hurriedly assist her the first time he saw her from afar.

"You don't even have to train today, you know."

"I know...but, I insist. Do you want me to stuck in my room all day?"

"Yeah, that's more exhausting and boring to feel."

They started their training and Phoenix was there before her. She can't look at him in the eye and she don't know why. She's having a hunch that the person who sent the food to her last night was Phoenix and that thought makes her want to disappear like a bubble popped in the thin air.

The sun was at the top of their head and it's time to take a lunch. Amy arranged her bowstring, arrow and more and last to leave the training area together with Daniel as he insist to stay to assist her. He's very kind to her that Amy thought him as her little brother.

When they were about to enter the castle, they bumped into Lady Cameron and her servant who has a snobbish look, like her Lady. Amy and Daniel both bowed to her as a respect while she was walking. She suddenly stop and looked at the woman behind Daniel, Lady Cameron's gaze turned into annoyance right away.

"You!" She said while pointing her eyes to Amy.

"Yes, Lady Cameron?"

'Tsk, she saw me again' Amy complied in her head. When does this Lady had an interest in her? She's not even doing anything!

"Follow me."

"But, Lady Cameron...It's time for us to eat lunch" Daniel suddenly inserted.

"Then? Is there a problem?" Daniel shut his mouth and Amy took her chance to retaliate for what Lady Cameron did to her last time.

"I don't think I have to follow your order Lady." Amy said with her head high and with confidence. Lady Cameron clenched her teeth and smiled bitterly.

"And why is that?"

"My apologies Lady but, I'm here at Citadel to serve Commander Adelard and not for anyone else, you can't just order me around."

Olivia's servant widened her eyes because of Amy's rude attitude, came forward and was about to slap her when someone shouted from afar.

"Enough!" a huge rough voice can be heard from afar, even that one word that he spit gave chills ran down their spine.

Phoenix shouted at the scene and came towards them. Olivia was like a nervous child because of Phoenix's sudden arrival and immediately think of a reason to blame Amy again.

"Phoenix, this woman here said vulgar words to me." Olivia said while was about to cling to him but Phoenix immediately pulled himself away from her. She was shocked because of his change of behavior while few days ago, he took her side.

"Enough with your lies Lady Cameron. If you can't respect my people, better leave my city." He said, flapped his coat and leave.

Olivia didn't even have a time to say something to protect her pride and just shut her mouth. She saw a teasing smile to Amy's face as they leave and clenched her fist deep in her gown.
