The atmosphere slowed to a stop. No more tension, no more numbness or suffocation. It was only quiet and still. The sound of a heartbeat could be heard from ten feet away if you listened closely enough.

Lyric opened her eyes slowly, adjusting her vision to the blinding white surroundings. Once her vision adapted enough for her to see clearly, she began to walk. She had to find the information she needed.

But she needed to find Loki first.

Lyric walked along the white plain, travelling past some of Loki's memories. She did not pay attention to them, only the slow, steady heartbeat she heard in the far distance. She knew that he would be in a loop through his happiest memories, she just had to know which one he was in before she started to work.

Eventually Lyric stopped, realizing that the heartbeat was the loudest it had been yet. She looked around at the memories surrounding her. They were all seemingly normal memories until she noticed that one memories was a tinted green color. She approached the entrance of it, careful not to enter yet.

Lyric peered into the memory, seeing a large crowd of people cheering and drinking. They spoke a language that Lyric could not understand, and their songs and chants were overwhelmingly loud. Judging by the architecture of the ballroom they were in and the style of their attire, Lyric assumed that this was some kind of Asgardian party.

Surveying the scene, Lyric's eyes landed on a large, blond man who she recognized as Thor, Loki's brother. He stood on a wooden table, a huge cup in one hand.

     Thor rumbled, "ATTENTION!"
Everyone ceased their talking and laughing to look at the drunken god of thunder. Thor continued, "Tonight we will celebrate a hero!" Cheers erupted.
"And I am proud of this hero! He who tricked the enemy and saved his comrades on the battlefield today!" Thor grabbed someone's arm and pulled them onto the table with him. The person steadied themselves before holding their own cup. Lyric saw that it was a younger version of Loki.

Thor patted his brother on the back and roared to the crowd, "TO MY BROTHER, LOKI!"
An explosion of applause ensued before everyone took a large swig if their drinks. It looked as if the party would continue to go on for a while.

Lyric cleared her throat and walked away from the memory, "I'll remember this one for when I gotta take him back." She began to leave the area of Pleasant Memories to cross over to some Unpleasant Memories.

The area quickly darkened and Lyric could not see any memories yet. She kept her eyes peeled, however. The bad memories tend to 'jump out at you'. Lyric kept walking into the black but she stayed vigilant.

After fifteen minutes of travelling, Lyric became incredibly concerned. None of Loki's bad memories had revealed themselves yet.

     They've gotta be here somewhere.

As if on command, Lyric was suddenly confronted with dozens of unpleasant memories. Her eyes widened at the flashes of horrors before her, every new one more gruesome than the last. She maintained her composure, however, she did not want to lose sight of the mission.

Lyric endured the flood of memories before being led to darkness again. Except for this time, a single memory entrance was in front of her, hazed in an ominous red color. She approached the entrance cautiously, this time careful to not mess with it's dangerous aura. This memory did not have a window to peer through.
This was very strange to Lyric, and it bothered her that she would not be aware of what she was getting involved in.
But she had a feeling that whatever was in this memory could help S.H.I.E.L.D. in their investigation on Loki and his attempted invasion. Lyric went with her gut instinct and decided to enter the memory.
