Chapter 13

The next morning

I open my eyes. The room is bright white, it hurts my eyes. I bring my right hand up to shield my eyes. "What the hell?" I groan

It's my shoulder. It's hurt's like hell. I then hear the door open. " Hey honey, how you doing?"

My mother asks me softly. " What happened, where's Oscar?" I ask

" Umm sweety, do you remember anything from last night?"

" I remember going on a movie date with Oscar, and then looking for him at the bathroom's,"

" Is that it?"

I try really hard to walk through last night. " I was looking for Oscar and then, he was in the back of a truck tied up," I say trailing off. Still processing what went down last night. 

" Good and then anything else?" My mother asks, her voice shaky with every word

My voice starts to shake up, realizing what happened. I try holding back my tears, but they become too heavy. My mom leans in and gives me a hug, careful about my shoulder. " O-oh mom, I just c-couldn't get to him in time!" I say in sobs

" Hey, it's gonna be alright, the police are going to find him alright, and if they don't we can look too alright?" she says calmly

" O-ok," I say, still sobbing

" Now I want you to get more rest alright? I need you to stay strong. Here's the remote to the T.V if you get bored," She says handing me the remote " Now I have to fill out a bunch of paperwork and take care of your brother's, alright, should I tell your friends they can come in?" She asks

" Yeah, you can send them in," I respond

" Anything else you need honey?" she asks

" No, i'm good,"

She then turns and walks out the door. I bring my knees up into my chest and just cry. Not large sobs anymore but silent tears. Why would anyone take Oscar? What are they going to do to him? I just want love, is that much to ask for? God, I can't keep one person close to me without getting them hurt huh? I hear the door open and peak my eyes out from my knees slightly. It's Vix and my friends. " Sordo are you feeling ok?" Vix asks slowly

She walks in and sits on the side of my bed. 

" Not in any way Vix," I say slowly trying not to sob again.

I bring my face back into my knees. I then feel a pair of hands wrap around my back. I look up. It's Jace. I just wrap my arms around his back as well and bury my face into his neck. I just need comfort right now. I then feel multiple hands wrap around me. I guess everyone's in on it. I start sobbing again. " Why did this have to happen to us!" I yell, half sobbing

" Bad things happen to good people all the time, nobody really knows why, all we can do is pray alright," Vix says trying to comfort me

Everyone backs away and sits of the bed. I look up at everyone. " Can we look around as soon as i'm out?" I ask 

Everyone looks kind of taken aback, except Nicky. " Of course we can look Sordo, right guys?" They say turning around and glaring at everyone. " Thank you!" I say happily giving Nicky a hug.

" It's no problem Sordo it's the least we could do," they say

" How long until you get out of here anyway?" Jace asks

" I'm not sure, maybe my mom will tell me when she gets back?" I say

" We'll stay with you until she comes back," Matt says
