Christmas eve:
Billy Crachet was trying hard not to watch the clock. Today was Christmas eve and he couldn't wait to go home and be with his family. His wife Dahlia had put a note in his lunch box reminding him that she loved him and not to forget to ask for Christmas day off. The reminder was sweet but unnecessary, he wouldn't forget to ask. When it was about time for him to go home, he got up from his desk and prepared to leave when Richard Scrooge walked in. "Where do you think you're going you've got thirty minutes more work to do. Disappointed, Billy plopped back down and continued to work. At 7:00, Billy was allowed to leave, and as he was doing so, he stepped into Mr Scrooge's office and asked him if he could have the whole following day off. Richard wasn't very happy about it but he agreed. Joyfully, Billy thanked Mr Scrooge over and over and then hurriedly headed for home.
