*Y/n's pov*
Does anyone actually enjoy leaving their house? Am I the only one who doesn't? I feel like I'm just a home body. Anyways. I have a date with someone that I've gone on quite a few dates with actually. 5 to be exact. This one is just a casual coffee date at a coffee shop that's in between where we both live. It's 8:30 in the morning and we agreed to meet at 10. I got up and walked into the bathroom attached to my room and took a shower. Unfortunately I don't have time for a full on girl shower. *if you know, you know* So I take a quick one. Once I got out, I dried off and got dressed then brushed my teeth and did a small amount of makeup and just straightened my hair enough so my hair looked naturally messy but not too messy. Cute messy if you will. I feel like looking too put together in the morning gives off the wrong vibes. Because let's be real, we all look ridiculous in the morning, especially when we just woke up. Let's not give the wrong impression. *haha* Regardless, I went downstairs and grabbed a bottle of water and an apple so my stomach won't be rumbling the entire time. My worst fear. Okay not my worst fear but one that's definitely embarrassing. You know in like elementary school or even high school when you're sitting in class and it's silent and out of nowhere one of your classmates, or your, stomach(s) just go off and rumble. It's embarrassing for everyone. That's my point. Anyways, I ate said apple and drank the bottle of water, went to the bathroom after so I wouldn't have to on the date and sat and waited for 9:45 to come so I could drive there.Eventually, it did come. I grabbed my smaller bag since all I needed was my phone, wallet, and keys, and headed out the door. After locking the door I unlocked my car and got into the drivers seat. I locked the car and started it then put it in drive and started driving there. It only took about 5 minutes because it was closer to where I live than him so I was early. I parked in front of the coffee shop and sighed. There's something I haven't been completely honest to the person that I've been going on these dates with that I believe I'm going to have to tell him on this one. Big deal. Regardless, I took the keys out of the ignition and grabbed my bag while getting out of the car. After I closed the door I locked it and put my keys in my bag then started walking towards the door. I look up and almost shit myself after realizing that he was already sitting in there. I looked down at my phone for the time to see if I was late and I realized that I was ten minutes early. It's interesting that we both like being early. I opened the door and walked towards the table that he was sitting at. He looked up from his phone and smiled, then stood up and hugged me. I immediately calmed down for the most part after he did that and we both sat down once we separated. "I was going to order our stuff but I wasn't sure if you wanted something new or not" I laughed softly "I think we both always get the same thing" he chuckled and waved over a waitress. "Hi, what can I get for you??" "I will have a black coffee, and she'll have an iced vanilla latte, please" "Mkay, I'll be right back" he smiled at her and she walked away. "Sometimes I forget that you don't just drink iced coffee and it surprises me when you order anything else" he laughed "it's cold this morning so I wanted something hot" "mm" "you seem anxious" "I'm alright" "are you sure?" The waitress came back with our drinks and we smiled at her until she left again. "Kinda" "what's up?" "What date is this?" "Mmm if we're talking numbers... our fifth" I nodded. "Why?" "I haven't been completely honest with you" he leaned in slightly and sipped his coffee, I continued. "Well, I mean, we're always doing stuff close to my house, and we're always back before like 10 pm." "Mhm.. isn't that because you like being in bed by 11?" "Making me seem like an old lady.." he laughed, slightly too loud bare in mind, causing the people around us to look over. He spoke after sipping his coffee again. "I normally go to bed at 2 so to me that's old lady hour." "Mhm. Anyways." "Please continue" "as I was saying, before we got into sleeping hours.-" he smiled "-we're always doing stuff closer to me and there's a reason, beside my old lady sleeping habits." He gave me a comforting smile and I continued. "I have a son." His smile dropped slightly but came back almost immediately. "What's his name?" "Reid. He's two." "That's a cute age" I laughed quietly. "Is that why you were anxious?" "Yeah.." "you looked anxious walking in here" "I was" he smiled and held my hand. "I mean at least you aren't out all night like some parents are. I know a lot of people who just leave their kids all the time. You're back before he goes to bed." I smiled "I always am." "Is he awake now?" "He might be.." I looked up at the clock on the wall and continued "he's with Kylee right now but he's been sleeping in lately." "Can I meet him?" "You want to-" "yeah of course, he's a big part of your life, I'd love to." "Okay" he smiled. As if on cue, my phone dinged. I grabbed it and opened the text from Kylee. "He's awake." I looked up after reading it and he had a giant goofy smile on his face. "He's gonna love you." "Shall we?" "Mhm" we both got up and he paid for our drinks. "Since you paid last time." I smiled and we walked outside. "Did you walk here-" "yeah. My apartment isn't that far from here and I needed the exercise." "Ahh" I unlocked my car and we both got in. I drove us to my house.
